Summary We are seeking an organized, analytical, and creative Product Marketing Associate to support product strategy, product-development initiatives, and promotional programs for our retail and food-service product families. This role helps bring products to market by supporting brand positioning, product messaging, new-product launches, packaging development, merchandising recommendations, and customer- and consumer-facing marketing tools. The Product Marketing Associate works closely with Marketing, Sales, Inside Sales, Research & Development, Quality Assurance, and other cross-functional teams to develop materials and programs that strengthen product visibility, support sales growth, and respond to customer and consumer needs. The successful candidate will analyze sales performance, market trends, customer insights, consumer preferences, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and make practical recommendations. This is an on-site position based in Richmond, California, offering the opportunity to work directly with a growing food business across retail and food-service channels. The role is well suited for someone who enjoys managing multiple projects, working collaboratively, and combining analytical thinking with strong communication and marketing execution skills.

Overtime may be required based on business needs and will be administered in accordance with applicable law Work setting: On-site role based in an office environment at an active food-manufacturing and packaging facility, with periodic work in operational areas and local and domestic travel for retail-store visits, customer meetings, tradeshows, demonstrations, consumer events, and other business activities Essential Duties and Responsibilities The duties below are considered essential functions of this position. This list is not exhaustive and may be revised to reflect legitimate business needs, consistent with applicable law. Support and help drive the Company's product strategy for retail and food-service product families. Assist with developing product-family strategies, including brand positioning and messaging that differentiate Company products in the market and address consumer and customer needs. Support planning and execution of new-product launches, including coordination of product specifications with industrial and cross-functional teams and development of consumer- and customer-facing promotional plans. Coordinate and help supervise packaging-design development with internal and external creative partners, including partners located outside the United States as applicable. Build and maintain product-information decks, presentations, and other product-support materials for internal and external audiences. Support training of Sales Managers and other internal stakeholders on product features, positioning, and value propositions to strengthen product expertise and selling efforts. Help develop and maintain promotional tools for buyers and customers, including brand catalogs, product-demonstration tools, and other sales-support materials. Help develop consumer-facing promotional tools, including in-store point-of-sale materials, off-premise collateral, and other marketing materials. Develop merchandising recommendations, including shelf-staging and brand-blocking recommendations, to improve product visibility and consumer reach. Analyze sales reports, market data, product performance, and consumption trends; identify findings and make recommendations regarding product launches, promotional plans, product visibility, and sales growth. Collect, organize, and analyze market-intelligence information, including customer, consumer, and competitor information. Visit stores and collaborate with Sales Managers and Inside Sales Associates to build knowledge of Company clients, purchasing practices, buying criteria, and market needs. Monitor competitor marketing methods, product activity, and market positioning; provide recommendations based on findings. Support Sales and Marketing with planning, preparation, coordination, and execution of tradeshows, in-store demonstrations, consumer events, and other assigned promotional activities. Coordinate effectively with Sales, Inside Sales, R D, QA, and other departments to support product-development and marketing initiatives. Prepare accurate reports, presentations, analyses, product materials, and other assigned documentation. Maintain organized electronic and physical marketing files, product information, project materials, and assigned records. Follow all Company policies, safety procedures, food-safety requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices ("GMPs"), and applicable site rules when working in Company facilities or attending Company-sponsored events. Perform other related marketing, product-development, promotional, and administrative duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager or other authorized management personnel. Required Qualifications Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in marketing, product management, project management, business, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of U.S. consumers and the U.S. food market, including retail and food-service channels. Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to communicate persuasively and professionally with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to interpret sales reports, market data, product-performance information, and consumer or customer trends and translate findings into practical recommendations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and cross-functional requests in an organized and timely manner. Ability to work independently after receiving direction and to work cooperatively in a team and cross-functional environment. Ability to maintain professional, effective, and respectful working relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and other business partners. Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance, with the ability to travel locally to visit stores and attend events as required. Ability to work the assigned schedule, including flexibility for occasional overtime, travel, tradeshows, in-store demonstrations, consumer events, or other business needs, as applicable. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience in product management, product marketing, marketing, brand management, or project management in a retail and/or food-service environment. Experience in the food, bakery, dessert, frozen-food, consumer packaged goods ("CPG"), retail, or food-service industry. Experience supporting new-product development, product launches, packaging development, brand positioning, merchandising, promotional planning, or sales enablement. Experience analyzing market data, sales data, customer insights, consumer trends, or competitor activity. Experience developing product presentations, product-information decks, catalogs, point-of-sale materials, sales-support tools, or marketing collateral. Knowledge of design software is a plus. Physical Demands and Essential Physical Requirements The physical demands described below represent those that may be required to perform the essential functions of this position. Read and review sales reports, market information, product materials, packaging concepts, presentations, emails, and other documents. Move occasionally throughout office, manufacturing, warehouse, retail-store, tradeshow, and event locations to access files, equipment, products, displays, and assigned work areas. Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, and move marketing materials, product samples, trade-show materials, in-store demonstration supplies, or other work-related items weighing approximately 20 to 25 pounds, using safe work practices and available equipment. Travel locally by vehicle to visit stores, attend meetings, tradeshows, demonstrations, consumer events, and other assigned business activities as required. Work Environment and Required Safety Practices Work is performed primarily in an office environment located at an active food-manufacturing and packaging facility. The position may also work in manufacturing, warehouse, freezer, cooler, retail-store, tradeshow, event, customer, and other off-site locations as part of normal responsibilities. The employee may be exposed to moving production equipment, forklifts or other powered industrial equipment operating in work areas, noise, wet or slippery surfaces, cold or hot temperatures, food ingredients, allergens, food-product materials, packaging materials, and other conditions common to a food-manufacturing environment. The employee must comply with all Company safety practices, food-safety programs, quality standards, GMPs, allergen-control requirements, visitor requirements, and applicable site rules. Required personal protective equipment ("PPE") may include, as applicable, safety shoes, hair and beard restraints, gloves, hearing protection, safety glasses, high-visibility garments, freezer gear, and other task-specific protective equipment. The employee must promptly report unsafe conditions, food-safety concerns, quality concerns, spills, hazards, equipment concerns, or other workplace issues to appropriate management or site personnel.
Compensation and Benefits Pay range:
