Local Marketing & Content Creator Salisbury, NC | Part-Time | Local / Hybrid | Approximately 10-15 hours per week SUMMARY Salisbury Eyecare & Eyewear is looking for a creative, energetic Local Marketing & Content Creator to help us tell the story of our practice.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Create authentic photo and video content inside our actual practice; Capture our doctors and team members in their natural environment; Create Instagram Reels, Stories, posts and other short-form content; Photograph new eyewear, displays, products, office events and team moments; Develop creative ideas that showcase the personality of our practice; Interview team members and turn their personalities and expertise into content; Help tell the story of our dry eye services, optical offerings, aesthetics and comprehensive eye care; Highlight our connection to Salisbury and the local community; Create content around new frame lines, trunk shows, events, holidays and community happenings; Attend occasional team events or community events to capture content; Write engaging captions that sound like a human being—not a corporate marketing department; Help maintain a consistent content calendar; Collaborate with Dr. Denton and the team on larger marketing initiatives; Occasionally assist with website, email marketing or other creative marketing projects

Canva templates; Stock photos; Generic healthcare graphics; AI-generated captions; "5 Tips for Healthy Eyes" every Tuesday; Copying what every other optometry practice is doing
YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT
IF... You naturally notice interesting moments and think, "That would make a great video."; You love Instagram, TikTok and short-form video; You understand what makes people stop scrolling; You are comfortable filming people on an iPhone; You know how to create a Reel that doesn't feel like an advertisement; You have a good eye for fashion, photography, composition and branding; You can make people feel comfortable in front of a camera; You have a personality and aren't afraid to use it; You are organized enough to turn ideas into a consistent content calendar; You can write captions that sound conversational and authentic; You are comfortable working independently; You are interested in fashion, beauty, wellness, healthcare, photography, design or local businesses; You live in or near Salisbury and genuinely understand the local community
EXPERIENCE
We're less concerned with a specific degree or number of years of experience than we are with what you can create. A portfolio or examples of your own social media/content work are strongly preferred.
THE WORK ENVIRONMENT
We are open to discussing a hybrid arrangement, but this position will require regular time physically in our office. Some editing, scheduling and planning can absolutely be done remotely. HOURS We anticipate approximately 10-15 hours per week to start, with flexibility depending on the candidate and the scope of the role. There may be opportunities for additional hours around special events, launches, community events or larger marketing projects.
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be based on experience, portfolio and scope of responsibilities. We are open to beginning with a 1099/project-based arrangement and potentially expanding the role over time.

Salisbury Eyecare & Eyewear is a locally owned optometry practice located in downtown Salisbury, North Carolina. We combine comprehensive eye care, advanced dry eye treatment, aesthetics and a highly curated optical experience in a practice designed to feel different from a traditional eye doctor's office. We are a small team, we have strong personalities, and we genuinely enjoy what we do. We'd like our marketing to show that.
