This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development of new products, refine existing formulations, and ensure that all offerings meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. As a key contributor, you will drive scientific research, culinary creativity, and technical excellence to bring delicious, safe, and market-ready products to life. Your expertise will help shape the future of our product portfolio while adhering to industry regulations and quality systems. Duties Lead the formulation and development of new food and beverage products, ensuring alignment with consumer trends and company goals. Conduct laboratory experiments, sensory evaluations, and stability testing to optimize product quality and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, packaging, marketing, and quality assurance to translate concepts into scalable production processes. Ensure all product development activities comply with FDA regulations, HACCP standards, GFSI requirements, and other regulatory/legal standards in food production. Collect and analyze data related to microbiology, biochemistry, nutrition, and sensory attributes to inform formulation improvements. Perform root cause analysis for product issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives within quality management systems. Develop detailed documentation for formulations, process protocols, validation reports, and regulatory submissions. Experience Proven experience in food science or product development within the food or beverage industry with a strong understanding of food processing techniques. Hands-on laboratory experience in microbiology, biochemistry, formulation chemistry, and sensory evaluation methods. Familiarity with food safety management systems such as HARPC (Hazard Analysis & Risk-Based Preventive Controls), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP principles, and sanitation standards. Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards including FDA regulations, GFSI certification requirements, and legal standards for food safety. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong analysis skills combined with data collection expertise to support scientific research and product optimization efforts. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and clear documentation of processes and findings.
