Job Description

Schaumburg, IL, United States (On-site) Contract (2 months 17 days) Published 4 hours ago JIRA & Confluence product modeling Agile/Scrum delivery guidewire policy center SIT/UAT testing Azure DevOps Guidewire PolicyCenter Certification backlog management We are seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Business Analyst with strong expertise in Commercial Lines Insurance and Guidewire Rating The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders underwriting teams product owners and development teams to analyze business requirements design solutions and support the implementation of PolicyCenter and Rating functionalities The candidate should possess a deep understanding of PC insurance processes commercial lines products policy lifecycle rating engines and Guidewire implementation methodologies
Key Responsibilities:
Gather analyze and document business requirements for Commercial Lines insurance products Collaborate with business stakeholders underwriters product managers and technical teams to define functional requirements Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications user stories and acceptance criteria Configure and support Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations and enhancements Analyze rating requirements premium calculation logic rate books and rating workflows Work with Rating Architects and Developers to design and validate rating solutions Support product modeling activities including: Coverage configuration Modifiers Jurisdictions Forms Rating structures Participate in requirement workshops GAP analysis impact assessments and solution design sessions Review policy lifecycle processes including: Submission Quote Bind Issue Renewal Endorsement Cancellation Create process flows business requirement documents BRD functional specification documents FSD and use cases Support SIT/UAT and production validation activities Work in Agile/Scrum delivery environments and participate in sprint planning backlog refinement and demo sessions Coordinate with QA teams to ensure test scenarios adequately cover business and rating requirements Provide production support and defect analysis related to PolicyCenter and Rating configurations
Required Skills:
Guidewire Skills:
Strong experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter Experience in Guidewire implementation upgrade or support projects Good understanding of: Product Model Policy Lifecycle Underwriting Rules Rating Framework Forms and Documents Knowledge of Guidewire integration concepts
Commercial Lines Insurance:
Strong domain knowledge in Commercial PC insurance Experience working with one or more Commercial Lines products
Commercial Auto General Liability Commercial Property Workers Compensation Business Owners Policy BOP Umbrella Liability Rating Experience:
Strong understanding of insurance rating concepts Premium calculation Rate books Rating variables Coverages and modifiers Discounts and surcharges Territory based rating Experience validating rating algorithms and premium calculations Knowledge of Guidewire Rating Management or external rating engines is preferred
Business Analysis Skills:
Requirements elicitation and stakeholder management User story creation and backlog management Process mapping and workflow analysis BRD FSD and Use Case documentation Defect triage and root cause analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Guidewire PolicyCenter Certification Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology Knowledge of APIs integrations and web services Experience with
Jira Confluence and Azure DevOps Educational Qualification:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science Information Technology Business Administration or related field Nice to

Guidewire Rating Management experience Experience in Commercial Lines product rollout projects Exposure to Guidewire BillingCenter and ClaimCenter Insurance industry certifications such as CPCU AINS or equivalent The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $61.44/hour - $96.00/hour.
