Type:

full-time Construction Scientist Immediate need for a Construction Scientist to join our Innovation and R D Center. Reporting to the Technical Director, this role provides senior?level research and development expertise to identify, develop, scale up, and commercialize innovative chemical solutions for the construction industry. The successful candidate will formulate, apply, and evaluate new chemistries for the Concrete Construction Chemicals Market while collaborating with Product Management to translate market insights and customer needs into product solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
New Product Development:

Lead development of new construction chemical products and integrate acquired technologies.

Technology Exploration:

Identify and secure new technology platforms to drive innovation.

Technical Support:

Support current product lines with troubleshooting and optimization.

Production Support:

Provide production support and ensure product consistency.

Leadership:

Mentor and coach junior scientists and lab members.

Organization:

Ensure lab cleanliness, organization, and accurate recordkeeping.

Travel:

Approximately 10% travel required for customer and industry support.

Industry Presence:

Represent the organization in technical associations (ASTM, CPI, CRC, etc.) and serve as an outward?facing technical voice.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry (required). 5-10 years of experience formulating construction products or similar materials.

Formulation Expertise:

Strong formulation skills across water?based and solvent?based sealers, silicone/silane chemistry, curing compounds, accelerators, retarders, dispersions, and emulsions. Excellent problem?solving skills and creativity in developing new chemistries. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Management, Sales, and cross?functional teams.
