Job Description:
Responsible for driving business success through proactive lifecycle management, product development, and expansion of the assigned portfolio. This role serves as a central interface for developing and executing global portfolio strategies in close collaboration with colleagues in R D, Sales, Strategy, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Quality. The position supports a regulated life sciences portfolio, with responsibility for product line strategy, sales and operations planning, marketing support, product sales enablement, and safety/compliance coordination.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Own the product line strategy, including lifecycle management, innovation strategy, and pricing. Manage the full lifecycle and value chain of the assigned portfolio using market, customer, competition, and application intelligence. Develop and advance innovation plans, including business cases, stage-gate documentation, product specifications, use cases, beta testing, and launch readiness. Identify customer needs, unmet needs, and emerging market opportunities, and align them to current and future offerings. Develop and manage pricing strategy, positioning, and channel strategy in partnership with sales and marketing leadership. Drive forecasting activities to align sales demand with production quantities, including demand exceptions, new product forecasting, and inventory priorities. Monitor portfolio performance against revenue, volume, and margin targets and escalate issues or required adjustments as needed. Track customer-level performance trends and use insights to inform business strategy and go-to-market planning. Provide regular reporting and status updates to business leadership and key stakeholder groups. Support development of marketing plans, global campaigns, and marketing or PR content for the assigned portfolio. Build technical awareness across internal teams and provide second-line support for non-routine technical, business, and regulatory issues. Support customer visits, regional and global sales meetings, and training for sales and service teams. Manage safety, FDA, ISO 9001:2015, and other applicable regulatory requirements for associated production sites and legal entities. Participate in Deviation Review Board meetings and support change control and CAPA activities. Partner with sales and marketing on customer communication and product positioning related to safety, quality, and compliance.
Qualifications:
Experience in product management, portfolio strategy, or lifecycle management within life sciences, biotechnology, or another regulated environment. Demonstrated ability to work across R D, Sales, Marketing, Strategy, Operations, Finance, and Quality teams. Experience with forecasting, inventory planning, portfolio performance tracking, and commercial decision support. Working knowledge of regulated product environments, including safety, quality systems, change control, and CAPA support. Ability to translate customer insight and market intelligence into product strategy and business cases. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support both technical and commercial stakeholders. Experience supporting marketing plans, product launches, and sales enablement activities is preferred.
