Some of our brands include DKNY, Brookstone, Karl Lagerfeld, Ted Baker, and Peri Home. You'll see our products at Bloomingdales, Target, Walmart, Costco, Home Goods, and many more. Our strong passion for product development has stood for almost 100 years across many Home categories. We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Product Manager for our Bath Division in our Irvington, NY office. This will be a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office and/or our NYC Showroom. This individual will combine product development expertise with a strong merchandising mind set translating trends, market insights and customer needs into commercially successful products. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, thrives in a fast paced environment and can effectively guide cross functional teams from concept through execution. Must be process driven, well organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent PC skills (including Excel, Word & PowerPoint). Salary is negotiable, 3+ years of experience in Product Development, Merchandising, Buying, or a related field preferred. Relocation costs will not be covered.
Primary Role:
Ideal candidate will have home textiles and/or decorative/hard bath accessories experience. Merchandising background is a plus! Own category product strategy, assortment, and line planning to support customer needs, revenue growth and margin objectives Utilize sales data, trend analysis and market insights to identify growth opportunities and drive product decisions Be the central hub to coordinate all efforts between sales, design, marketing, packaging, sourcing, engineering, quality, planning and logistics. Establish and maintain Time & Action calendars to meet target presentation, style outs and product launch dates
Initiate Product Development:
Develop product assortments on a monthly basis that balance trend, value, quality, and profitability Work directly with overseas teams to develop products including material selection, construction reviews, product testing, etc. Collaborate with the design team to prioritize projects based on customer demand, market opportunities and potential business impact Coordinate completion of all presentation materials, inclusive of packaging mock ups/renderings, design, line lists, and samples for buyer meetings and style outs Collaborate with brand partners and internal stakeholders to manage product approvals Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement new processes to improve speed to market and team productivity Lead cost negotiations with overseas teams to achieve competitive pricing while maintaining quality and performance standards Oversee sample development from initial prototype through production approval - ensuring all samples are tracked, reviewed, and maintained Manage sample library and maintain accurate records of sample submissions with revision and approval details Attend and participate in key customer and vendor meetings
Execute Production:
Coordinate all aspects of program launches and replenishment including: vendor selection, defining quality standards, packaging requirements, testing protocols, etc. Partner with packaging and marketing team in the approval process: ensuring packaging copy, product claims, specifications, labeling, and artwork are accurate, compliant and aligned with retailer and brand standards Oversee all aspects of production planning including: SKU Set up, product information set up, vendor set ups, pre-production planning, purchase order execution and delivery dates
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
