This temp role supports an esports game with a global competitive aspect, focusing on audience growth, fan engagement, and community retention through innovative social strategies. The position is based remotely, with an initial engagement of 2 weeks and approximately 20 hours/week, potentially increasing to 40 hours.

Sports & Gaming Social Media Strategist Responsibilities:

Develop and refine social media strategies tailored for gaming and sports audiences, including content pillars and posting approaches. Apply sports marketing principles such as fan dynamics, rivalries, and event-driven content to gaming communities. Align content planning with key gaming calendar events, launches, updates, and esports tournaments. Create sample content ideas, recurring series, and platform-specific formats to enhance engagement. Identify and recommend potential creator, streamer, and athlete partnerships to strengthen community connections.

Sports & Gaming Social Media Strategist Qualifications:

At least 4 years of social media strategy and content development experience. Proven experience working with sports media, sports publishers, leagues, or teams. Deep understanding of sports marketing, fan behavior, and social media platform nuances. Familiarity with gaming culture and ability to translate sports strategies for gaming audiences. Strong storytelling skills with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
