Part-time Retainer / Contract Job Summary We are seeking a Social Media Administrator to serve as the operational backbone of Born To Roam's social presence. This is not a content creation role, but actually the engine that keeps everything organized, on trend, and moving on time. You must understand our demographic (27-47), what they engage with, what they scroll past, and what actually earns their attention. You'll own the research, the calendar, the platforms, and the day to day logistics that let our creative team focus on the work only they can do.
Key Responsibilities Trend & Content R D:
Stay embedded in TikTok, Instagram, and social platform culture, trending sounds, formats, and styles, and translate what's working into ideas our creative team can act on, filtered specifically through what resonates with our core demo.
Content Calendar Management:
Own the full calendar end to end, scheduling, sequencing, and flagging anything at risk of slipping, so nothing goes out late or gets dropped.
Platform Posting & Scheduling:
Execute posting across all active platforms on schedule, maintaining consistency in timing and cadence.
Community & DM Monitoring:
Actively monitor comments, DMs, and community engagement, responding or routing to the right person promptly.
TikTok Shop Oversight:
Manage day to day shop health, order syncing, and platform-specific requirements to protect our seller score and account standing.
Creator Outreach:
Handle first-touch outreach and initial conversations with potential creators and collaborators, passing qualified opportunities to the team.
Community Building:
Support the development and moderation of a dedicated space for our most engaged customers and hat enthusiasts.
Qualifications and Skills Experience:
Demonstrated experience managing social platforms professionally, ideally for a fashion, accessories, or lifestyle brand.
Core Demo Fluency:
A real understanding of our audience and how to communicate with them. You should be able to tell the difference between content that performs broadly and content that actually speaks to our demographic culturally and otherwise.
Platform Depth:
Genuine, current fluency in TikTok specifically, including shop mechanics, algorithm behavior, and trend cycles, not just familiarity from the outside.
Organizational Precision:
Strong ability to track multiple moving pieces at once and know what's late, what's next, and what's stuck, without needing to be told.
Autonomy:
Comfortable taking a brief and running with it, including the less glamorous back-office work, logins, syncing, shop health, not just the visible front-facing parts.
