About the Studio Gayu Patel Interiors is a boutique interior design studio based in the DMV, working with residential clients across the region. The studio is known for layered, considered spaces — grounded in craftsmanship and built to last. We're growing our content presence and looking for a creative, motivated assistant to help bring that work to life online. The Role This is an in-person, part-time position (10+ hours per week) supporting content creation and social media for the studio's Instagram. You'll work closely with the founder — shooting behind-the-scenes content on active projects, editing Reels and photos, and helping manage day-to-day engagement. This is an execution role. You'll bring strong creative instincts and technical skills, and work within a very specific aesthetic direction set by the studio. What You'll Do Shoot and edit short-form video content and Reels (in-person, on-site) Edit photos for Instagram using Lightroom or similar tools Manage posting schedules using Buffer to keep content consistent and on time Monitor brand mentions, comments, and engagement across platforms Engage with followers, builder, and realtor accounts in line with the studio's voice Proofread all content for accuracy and consistency before it goes live Support the founder in staying consistent across platforms What We're Looking For Based in the DMV and able to work in person Confident with short-form video — shooting, editing, and pacing Familiar with Instagram — Reels, carousels, engagement strategy Active on TikTok and understands short-form content rhythm LinkedIn savvy — comfortable engaging and posting in a professional context Experience with video editing tools A good eye and the ability to take direction well Interest in interiors, design, or lifestyle content Photo editing skills (Lightroom a plus) Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines without close supervision Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-directed once briefed Compensation $16-$20/hour depending on experience, starting at 10 hours per week.
