Holt Rams Baseball Social Media & Creative Internship Position Type:
Internship Commitment:
Approximately 3-5 hours per week from March-June 2027 (minor commitments before season starts as needed)

Remote Ideal Candidates:
Michigan State University or Lansing Community College students interested in social media, marketing, sports media, communications, advertising, public relations, photography, videography, or graphic design. About Holt Rams Baseball Holt Rams Baseball is committed to building a high-level high school baseball program that our players, school, alumni, families, and community can be proud of. As we continue to grow the program, we want to improve the way we tell the story of Holt Baseball through social media, photography, video, graphic design, and digital content. We are looking for a creative college student to help lead that effort. Position Overview The Social Media & Creative Intern will help manage and grow the digital presence of Holt Rams Baseball. This is designed to be a low-hour, high-ownership internship where the intern can gain hands-on experience managing the social media presence of an athletic program while building a strong portfolio of professional work. The intern will work directly with the Holt Baseball coaching staff and will have creative freedom to help develop the personality and visual identity of the program. Responsibilities The intern may assist with: Managing Holt Baseball social media accounts Developing a weekly social media content calendar Creating Instagram, Facebook, and other social content Designing game-day graphics, schedules, score updates, player features, and promotional graphics Creating short-form video and Reels Promoting games, fundraising events, community initiatives, camps, and other program activities Developing player and coach spotlight content Sharing behind-the-scenes content from the program Helping document the season through photos and video Creating content highlighting Holt Baseball alumni and program history Helping develop the overall Holt Baseball digital brand Tracking basic social media growth and engagement During Baseball Season During the spring season, opportunities could include: Game Day graphics Starting lineup graphics Final score graphics Player of the Game features Photography and video at select games Highlight videos and Reels Senior features Record and milestone graphics District and postseason content The intern would not be expected to attend every game. We want this opportunity to work around the student's academic schedule and will be extremely flexible. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Currently enrolled in college, with MSU students strongly encouraged to apply Interested in sports, marketing, social media, content creation, or communications Creative and willing to bring new ideas to the program Comfortable using social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook Reliable and able to work independently Interested in building a professional portfolio Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, videography, CapCut, social media management, or graphic design is helpful but not required. What You'll Gain This internship is designed to provide meaningful professional experience rather than busy work. The intern will have the opportunity to: Manage social media for a real athletic organization Build a portfolio of graphics, videos, campaigns, and social content Develop a complete sports marketing portfolio Gain experience working directly with organizational leadership Experiment with social media growth strategies Develop sports photography and videography experience Receive a professional reference/recommendation based on performance Receive credit and recognition for their creative work when appropriate Potentially use the experience for academic internship credit if approved by their university Most importantly, the intern will have significant creative ownership and the ability to point to the growth of Holt Baseball's digital presence as something they personally helped build. Time Commitment Approximately 3-5 hours per week , with flexibility around classes, exams, and other commitments. Hours may increase slightly during the high school baseball season depending on the intern's interest and availability. Internship Timeline We would ideally like someone to begin during the Fall 2026 semester and continue through the Spring 2027 baseball season . Availability during the Spring 2027 High School Baseball season is a must.
