Marketing Strategist Schedule:

Approximately 5 hours per week during weeks when the team is away, increasing to 15-20 hours during home game weeks. Interns will submit their availability in advance for each upcoming month, and the marketing strategist will assign shifts based on availability, team needs, and the event schedule. Schedules will be set in advance to provide a predictable schedule while accommodating class schedules and allowing interns to update their availability each month.

Compensation:

This is an unpaid internship offering hands-on experience in professional hockey, with opportunities to develop skills in social media strategy, content creation, and digital marketing analytics. College credit may be available depending on individual program requirements. Role summary The Fall Social Media Intern will work closely with the Marketing Strategist and marketing team to support the Port Huron Prowlers' digital marketing efforts. The intern will capture content, contribute to social media planning and creative development, and assist with tracking performance metrics. This role provides practical experience in sports marketing while giving interns the opportunity to build a portfolio of professional social media content. Responsibilities Film game-day content featuring player celebrations, active gameplay, bench interactions, promotional events, mascot activities, crowd reactions, and kids' zone moments. Submit captured content to the Marketing Strategist for review before it is posted for real-time updates or future use across the team's social media channels. Approved content may also be used in the intern's personal portfolio.
