Job Summary The Sway, an award-winning multimedia lifestyle brand owned by The Pilot newspaper in downtown Southern Pines, is looking for a creative Part-Time Digital Storyteller. The right person will be skilled in photos, videos and the written word and understand The Sway's mission to keep its 20,000+ newsletter subscribers informed and laughing.
The ideal team member must:
— Be familiar with The Sway's newsletter and social media channels (FB, IG, TikTok) and enthusiastic about creating fun and engaging content that enhances the brand — Be excited by the chance to collaborate with others in a creative environment — Be comfortable interviewing and photographing strangers — Be flexible and willing to take on any task, from video voiceovers to hot-gluing photo props — Be able to quickly switch gears to meet last-minute deadlines The ideal team member should also: — Be well versed in internet culture, memes and pop culture references — Enjoy all forms of humor, from sarcasm to puns and dad jokes About the
Job:
— Hours are flexible, which is required by the nature of the job. Availability to cover events on some weekends are a must — Some remote work is OK, but you will be expected to log hours in the office on certain days (to be determined at time of hire) — The role is capped at 20 hours, but may be expanded in the future for the right person — Dress code is business extra casual
