Position Overview The Social Media Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of our organic social media strategy across multiple platforms. This role is responsible for content coordination, scheduling, community engagement, trend research, and creative collaboration, while helping ensure our social media presence remains engaging, organized, and aligned with our brand. Working closely with the Social Media Manager, this position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in organic social strategy, paid social campaigns, analytics, content development, and brand growth initiatives, making it an ideal role for someone looking to build a career in social media marketing. Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning, execution, and scheduling of social media content across multiple platforms. Coordinate monthly content collection by communicating with internal teams, regional leaders, and event attendees to gather photos and videos. Conduct competitor, industry, and market research to identify trends, content opportunities, and best practices. Stay up to date on emerging social media trends, platform updates, trending audio, and content formats to inspire fresh ideas. Collaborate on content brainstorming sessions and contribute creative concepts for educational, recruitment, community, and brand awareness campaigns. Schedule and publish content while ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and platform optimization. Monitor and manage community engagement by responding to comments, direct messages, and escalating inquiries when appropriate. Maintain and organize the social media content library, ensuring assets are properly categorized and easily accessible. Coordinate internal communications and outreach for upcoming events, celebrations, and marketing initiatives to support timely content collection. Assist with basic video editing and formatting content for various social media platforms. Gather monthly social media metrics and assist in preparing performance reports. Maintain the social media content calendar and help ensure campaigns and projects remain on schedule. Review scheduled content for accuracy, grammar, branding, and formatting prior to publishing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent internship or professional experience). 1-2 years of experience in the digital media space. Passion for social media, digital marketing, and content creation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects. Creative thinker with an interest in storytelling, brand building, and audience engagement. Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment. Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Reddit. Experience with Canva and basic video editing tools (such as CapCut, Adobe Express, or Premiere Pro) is preferred. Comfortable researching trends, analyzing content performance, and bringing fresh ideas to the table. Ability to work collaboratively while taking initiative and ownership of assigned projects.
