Animal-Assisted Crisis Response is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose canine teams provide comfort and support to those affected by crises and disasters. We're looking for a volunteer Social Media Assistant to help us tell that story across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. What You'll Do Capture and/or receive photos and video from our Regional Managers, and turn them into polished, on-brand content Draft clear, engaging captions in HOPE's brand voice (plain language — no acronyms) Help plan and schedule content to keep a consistent posting cadence Produce short-form video for Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn Monitor engagement and flag notable comments or messages for follow-up Share and engage with partner agency posts that mention

What We're Looking For Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar) to prepare and brand photos Strong written communication and attention to detail Comfort using hashtags strategically Self-starter who can meet deadlines and collaborate remotely with Regional Managers, Board members, and consultants Willingness to fully learn and follow HOPE AACR's Social Media Policy and Policies & Procedures Manual, especially around privacy Why Volunteer With Us This is a hands-on opportunity to build real social media management experience — content strategy, scheduling, video production, and community engagement — while directly supporting a mission-driven crisis response organization.
