Job Description:
Acting Coach We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Acting Coach to teach adult acting classes ranging from beginner to advanced levels . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acting, theater, film, or television and a passion for helping performers at different stages of their development grow their craft. The Acting Coach will lead engaging classes focused on acting techniques, scene study, improvisation, character development, audition preparation, and on-camera performance. The coach must be able to adapt lessons to meet the needs of both students who are new to acting and experienced performers looking to take their skills to the next level. This is a paid, part-time position. Responsibilities Teach adult acting classes at both beginner and advanced levels Develop engaging lesson plans appropriate for different experience levels Teach acting fundamentals to beginners, including confidence, physicality, vocal technique, character development, and scene work Challenge advanced students through more complex scene study, character work, emotional preparation, improvisation, and professional performance techniques Prepare students for auditions, self-tapes, callbacks, and professional opportunities Provide individualized, constructive feedback to help students improve Create a professional, supportive, and encouraging classroom environment Incorporate film and television acting techniques when appropriate Lead monologue work, scene study, improvisation, and performance exercises Track student progress and adjust instruction based on individual needs Collaborate with other coaches and staff on workshops, showcases, and special programs Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and effective communication with students and staff Qualifications Professional experience as an actor, acting coach, theater instructor, or performing arts educator Strong understanding of acting techniques, scene study, improvisation, and character development Experience teaching both beginner and advanced adult performers Ability to adapt teaching methods to different skill levels Background in film, television, theater, or professional performing arts Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills Ability to provide honest, constructive, and encouraging feedback Professional acting or entertainment industry experience strongly preferred Experience with auditions, self-tapes, casting, or on-camera acting is a plus Preferred Experience Professional film, television, or theater credits Experience coaching actors for professional auditions On-camera and self-tape coaching experience Casting, directing, or production experience Experience teaching adult workshops or masterclasses Experience working with actors preparing for professional industry opportunities Schedule Part-Time Class schedules may vary based on program needs and instructor availability. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced working actor or acting professional who knows how to teach . You should be comfortable helping someone take their very first acting class while also challenging an experienced actor who is preparing for professional opportunities.
