Unique Part-Time Opportunity!! Flexible Schedule Available! HW Staffing has a unique Part-Time/Per Diem opportunity for Standardized Patients to play a vital role in the education, development, and evaluation of healthcare professionals. We offer $22.00 hourly; candidates must be available 3 days a week, 8:00am-6:00pm. This is not full-time work or a guaranteed number of hours per week/per month. A Standardized Patient (SP) is an individual trained to portray a real patient to simulate a set of symptoms or problems used for healthcare education, evaluation, and research. SPs are trained to play the role of a patient or a family member to allow participants to practice history taking skills, physical exam skills and communication skills. SPs are trained to realistically portray a variety of patient types in a standardized, structured, and repeatable way. If selected as a Standardized Patient, you will receive extensive training in: Portraying a realistic patient. Simulating symptoms. Undergoing and assessing non-invasive physical examinations. Accurately assessing participants on guided checklists. Providing communication based verbal feedback.

Requirements:

Daytime availability, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm (to work a flexible schedule) Reliability, flexibility, and punctuality are essential. Excellent memorization, recall, and communication Skills. Ability to be objective and follow directions. Basic computer skills utilizing the mouse/keyboard, as well as familiarity with Zoom. Acting experience desirable but not required. Previous Standardized Patient experience desirable but not required. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), associate or bachelor's Degree preferred. #INDSmithtown
