Duties Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different skill levels and age groups, incorporating elements of creative arts instruction and childhood development principles Lead engaging dance classes that emphasize proper technique, rhythm, expression, and stage presence while managing classroom behavior effectively Create original choreography for performances, recitals, or competitions that showcase students' talents and progress Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with diverse learning styles, including those with preschool or youth program experience Incorporate musical instruments, theater techniques, photography, or culinary arts into interdisciplinary dance projects to enrich student learning experiences Plan lessons that integrate visual arts and performing arts concepts, fostering creativity and artistic growth in a supportive environment Manage classroom logistics efficiently, ensuring safety protocols are followed during movement activities and rehearsals Qualifications Proven experience working with children and youth programs teaching dance, theater, or visual & performing arts Strong background in choreography, dance instruction, and curriculum development across multiple styles Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques Experience teaching instrumental performance or incorporating musical elements into dance education is a plus Familiarity with teaching arts in diverse settings such as preschool classrooms or adult education programs Ability to plan engaging lessons using lesson planning best practices and adapt to various learning needs Skills in photography or multimedia arts to enhance creative projects are desirable Excellent communication skills with a passion for inspiring students through energetic teaching methods Join us in creating an inspiring space where movement meets imagination!
