RCB is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and community-minded School Director to lead the day-to-day operations and continued growth of our dance school. The School Director will work closely with our talented team of dance instructors, office manager, students, families, and Board of Directors to ensure the school operates smoothly and provides an exceptional experience for our dancers and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and support a team of dance instructors, fostering strong communication, collaboration, and a positive working environment. Oversee the duties and day-to-day responsibilities of the Office Manager. Report regularly to the Rocket City Ballet Board of Directors regarding school operations, enrollment, staffing, and other relevant matters. Oversee the planning and execution of the annual spring recital, working closely with instructors to ensure choreography, music, costumes, staging, and other performance details are prepared and organized. Work with instructors to identify and address student needs and help ensure classes are running effectively. Help grow student enrollment through outreach, community engagement, school events, promotions, and other creative initiatives. Build positive relationships with parents and families and serve as a welcoming and accessible point of contact for school-related concerns and questions. Represent Rocket City Ballet positively within the Huntsville community and help develop relationships with schools, community organizations, and potential partners. Assist with class scheduling, registration, placement, programming, and other aspects of school operations. Help develop and implement programs and initiatives that strengthen student retention and encourage continued participation. Support the overall mission and vision of Rocket City Ballet while helping the school grow and thrive. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and organized leader who genuinely enjoys working with children, families, and dance educators. We are looking for someone who can lead with professionalism and warmth, solve problems, build relationships, and take initiative while working collaboratively with instructors, staff, and the Board of Directors.
