Boston Music Project is seeking a Teaching Artist to support Friday afternoon music programming at the Condon Community Center .

Address:

200 D St, South Boston, MA 02127 Schedule Fridays, 3:30-5:30 PM Programming runs between 3:00-6:00

PM Start Date:

September 28 Location Condon Community Center Program Areas Programming may include: Group drumming Group piano Singing and vocal ensemble Dance and movement Music production Responsibilities The Teaching Artist will help lead engaging, hands-on music classes for young musicians.

Responsibilities may include:

Leading or supporting group music activities in piano, percussion, voice, and music production Helping students build foundational rhythm, musicianship, and ensemble skills Incorporating movement, singing, and creative music-making into lessons Supporting students with a range of musical backgrounds and experience levels Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Preparing age-appropriate lesson activities and materials Collaborating with Boston Music Project staff and other Teaching Artists Assisting with performances and program events as needed

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will: Have experience working with children in a group setting Be comfortable teaching across multiple areas of music Have experience in one or more of the following: piano, percussion/drumming, voice, music production, or general music Be comfortable leading creative, interactive activities Be dependable, flexible, collaborative, and enthusiastic about working with young musicians Candidates do not need to be specialists in every program area, but versatility across multiple musical disciplines is especially valuable.
