Job Description

Marshall Public Schools serves over 2,500 PK-13 students across eight (8) school buildings throughout the Marshall and Albion communities. SUMMARY:

The Band Director (Associate Director of Bands) is responsible for serving as the lead instructor for the Middle School band program while also functioning in a team-teaching, supportive capacity for the High School band program , including the fall marching band season. This position requires an individual who can lead and sustain a developing middle school program while collaborating closely with the Director of Bands to support a unified, sequential 6 -12 band curriculum.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher Valid Michigan secondary teaching certificate Endorsement in Music (JX/JQ) Demonstrated proficiency on multiple band instruments (woodwind, brass and/or percussion) Willingness and ability to work extended hours during marching band season, including evenings, weekends and summer band camp Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of an instructional team
