Overview Reimagine Church, a United Methodist congregation in Newark, Ohio, is hiring a part-time Director of Worship Arts & Music Ministry to lead our Sunday worship as well as special holiday services — by building and mentoring a team. You'll lead worship personally 2-3 Sundays a month, and spend the rest of your time recruiting, training, and scheduling a rotation of volunteers and guest musicians for the remaining Sundays. Responsibilities Lead worship (vocals/instrument) approximately 2-3 Sundays per month; select music and coordinate themes with the Pastor. Recruit, schedule, and mentor a rotation of volunteer musicians and tech personnel to cover the remaining 1-2 Sundays per month. Manage the scheduling and communication for all music and tech volunteers, keeping music, slides, and tech cues organized ahead of time. Serve as the primary point of contact for sound, livestream, and media volunteers. Meet with the Pastor at 90 days and 6 months to review how the rotation is functioning and adjust as needed. Qualifications Experience leading worship (vocals and/or instrument) in a church or similar setting. Comfortable building and mentoring a team, not just performing solo — this role is as much about developing volunteers as it is about leading from the front. Strong organizational skills; able to manage a rotating schedule and keep music/tech logistics on track. Alignment with Wesleyan theology and a collaborative working style with pastoral leadership. Familiarity with the Newark, Ohio / Licking County area a plus (local musicians, community, etc.).

Pay:

$15,600.00 - $20,800.00 per year
