Part-Time Music Director Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York (UUCY) - York, Pennsylvania The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York (UUCY) is seeking a collaborative and creative part-time Music Director to help lead our vibrant worship life through music. Working closely with the Minister, Worship Committee, and volunteer musicians, the Music Director will plan, coordinate, and lead music for Sunday worship services while fostering a welcoming and engaging music ministry. Responsibilities Prepare, coordinate, and perform music for weekly Sunday worship services. Direct the congregational choir, including weekly rehearsals (traditionally Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m.). Collaborate with the Minister, Worship Committee, and Music Committee to plan meaningful worship experiences. Coordinate with congregants and guest musicians for special music throughout the year. Attend planning meetings as needed, primarily during daytime hours with occasional evening meetings. Qualifications Ability to direct a volunteer choir. Strong collaborative and communication skills. Proficiency in piano or keyboard accompaniment is preferred. Skills with additional instruments are welcomed. Appreciation for a variety of musical styles and a willingness to work within a diverse, inclusive faith community.

Position Details Part-time:

Approximately 15 hours per week.

Term:

September 2026 through June 30, 2027.

Salary:
