Worship Leader Norwalk United Methodist Church Des Moines, IA Job Details Contract $150 a day 13 hours ago Qualifications Religious music performance experience Guitar playing Worship band conducting Leadership Religious leadership Full Job Description Norwalk United Methodist is seeking a capable worship leader for a Sunday evening service at a small church plant that is being launched on the south side of Des Moines. Our vision for the Sunday evening service is to offer a relaxed and casual family-oriented service that is authentic, fosters community, and is spiritually nourishing. The preferred applicant will be a proficient vocalist and will be comfortable leading the congregation's singing. The right person will also be committed to the Christian faith and committed to fostering a meaningful and authentic worship experience for the congregation. Candidates who are vocalists and also guitarist are especially encouraged to apply! Compensation is $150/service; Services will not typically extend beyond one hour. A short 40 minute rehearsal prior to service is included in this rate. Preparation of music prior to rehearsals is expected and required. There are also additional opportunities to lead Sunday morning worship services at Norwalk United Methodist (if desired) on an as-needed substitute basis.
