Job Description

About the Role As an Account Executive at Keany Produce & Gourmet, you'll be responsible for driving sales and delivering outstanding service to customers throughout the foodservice industry in a salary-plus-commission role. Once established, you'll have the opportunity to transition fully to commission. A passion for food, fresh produce, and gourmet products is a plus, but not essential. We're looking for someone who is hardworking, personable, and eager to connect with customers. Whether you're new to the food industry or already have experience in produce, foodservice, hospitality, or wholesale distribution, you'll find a supportive team ready to help you succeed. Key Responsibilities Build strong customer relationships by understanding business needs, accurately processing orders, and delivering exceptional service. Visit at least 20 customers and prospects daily, logging all interactions into our CRM system. Promote Keany's extensive portfolio of fresh produce, specialty items, dairy, proteins, gourmet products, and other foodservice solutions. Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for expanding customer relationships and growing market share. Foster long-term partnerships with customers to encourage loyalty and business success. Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding orders, products, pricing, inventory, and delivery. Address customer concerns with professionalism and offer practical solutions. What We're Looking For A team player who enjoys working with others to achieve goals and serve customers. Sales experience, especially in foodservice, produce, hospitality, wholesale distribution, or related industries, is helpful but not required. We're open to training the right candidate. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with new people every day. Ability to multitask and stay organized while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. A drive to influence clients and build long-lasting relationships that contribute to success for both you and the company. Interest in learning about fresh produce, gourmet foods, and the foodservice industry. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree is preferred; however, candidates with lesser educational qualifications who possess relevant sales, foodservice, hospitality, produce, or wholesale distribution experience will also be considered. Physical Requirements Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds as required. Ability to occasionally work in refrigerated warehouse environments and participate in product demonstrations, customer visits, and industry events.
