Semiconductors, Electronic Components & Supply Chain Solutions Position Overview SVT Supply Chain is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Semiconductor Sales Account Representative to develop new business and grow customer relationships within the semiconductor and electronic components industry. The primary focus of this role is helping companies solve critical supply chain challenges, including hard-to-find semiconductor requirements, component shortages, obsolete and end-of-life parts, extended lead times, and urgent production needs . The ideal candidate understands how to identify customers experiencing supply constraints, connect with purchasing and supply chain decision-makers, uncover active requirements, and position SVT as a trusted sourcing partner. This is a business-development-oriented sales position for someone who is comfortable prospecting, building relationships, managing RFQs, and turning urgent component requirements into long-term customer accounts. Key Responsibilities Develop new business with OEMs, EMS companies, contract manufacturers, distributors, and other organizations purchasing semiconductors and electronic components. Prospect and identify companies experiencing component shortages, allocation issues, long lead times, obsolete parts, and hard-to-find requirements. Build relationships with purchasing managers, commodity managers, supply chain leaders, procurement teams, engineering groups, and other key decision-makers. Generate new customer opportunities through outbound calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, referrals, industry contacts, and account research. Identify active semiconductor and electronic component requirements and generate qualified RFQ opportunities. Position SVT Supply Chain as a resource for customers requiring alternative sourcing solutions outside their traditional supply channels. Work closely with SVT's sourcing and procurement teams to locate components and provide competitive solutions to customer requirements. Manage RFQs from initial customer inquiry through sourcing, quoting, negotiation, and purchase order. Follow up consistently on open quotes and maintain visibility into customer purchasing timelines and requirements. Develop a pipeline of both immediate shortage opportunities and long-term strategic accounts. Expand existing accounts by identifying additional purchasing groups, facilities, programs, and component requirements. Maintain accurate records of customer activity, opportunities, quotes, and follow-up activity within the company CRM. Monitor semiconductor market conditions, shortages, allocation trends, lead-time changes, and end-of-life notices to identify potential sales opportunities. Meet or exceed established revenue, gross profit, account-development, and activity goals. Target Customers The Sales Account Representative will primarily develop relationships with: Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers Contract Manufacturers Industrial and automation manufacturers Aerospace and defense suppliers Automotive and transportation companies Medical device manufacturers Telecom and networking equipment companies Data center and computing companies Other organizations with recurring semiconductor and electronic component requirements What You Will Sell SVT helps customers address supply chain challenges related to: Hard-to-find semiconductors and electronic components Component shortages and allocation Extended manufacturer lead times Obsolete and end-of-life components Urgent production requirements Spot-market sourcing Alternative sourcing strategies Supply continuity and shortage mitigation Excess and changing inventory requirements The goal is not simply to sell individual components, but to become a trusted supply chain resource customers contact whenever their normal purchasing channels cannot meet their requirements. Qualifications Sales, business development, account management, or purchasing experience preferred. Semiconductor, electronic component, OEM, EMS, distribution, or supply chain experience is highly desirable. Strong prospecting and new-business-development skills. Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations with new customers. Ability to develop relationships with procurement and supply chain professionals. Strong negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple RFQs, customer requests, and opportunities simultaneously. Self-motivated and comfortable working in a performance-driven sales environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service. Ability to learn semiconductor manufacturers, part numbers, product categories, and market dynamics. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a competitive, entrepreneurial salesperson who enjoys developing new accounts and solving customer problems . You understand that semiconductor sales is often about timing: finding the customer who has a production problem, identifying the components creating the problem, and providing a sourcing solution quickly. You are persistent without being transactional, understand the importance of follow-up, and know how to turn an initial RFQ into a long-term customer relationship. Success in This Role Success will be measured by the ability to: Consistently develop new customer relationships. Generate qualified RFQs and sourcing opportunities. Convert quotes into purchase orders. Build recurring revenue from established accounts. Increase gross profit and account penetration. Develop relationships that position SVT as a customer's first call when traditional supply channels cannot meet demand.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
