Role:

The Account Executive

  • Channel Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth for IMPROVLearning through the development, management, and expansion of strategic channel partnerships and enterprise accounts.

This role is ideal for an experienced B2B enterprise sales professional who understands complex sales environments, extended closing cycles, consultative selling, and decision-making processes involving multiple stakeholders. The Account Executive will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution, and work closely with channel partners and internal teams to deliver solutions that address the business, learning, compliance, and workforce-development needs of enterprise customers. The successful candidate will be comfortable engaging with senior executives, HR and Learning & Development leaders, procurement teams, business unit heads, legal teams, and other key stakeholders involved in enterprise purchasing decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Enterprise & Channel Sales Development Develop and execute strategies to generate new enterprise business through direct and channel sales. Identify, recruit, develop, and maintain high-value channel partners and strategic accounts. Build a strong pipeline of qualified enterprise opportunities. Develop relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations. Expand existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, renewals, and additional business units. 2. Complex Sales Cycle Management Own the full enterprise sales cycle , from prospecting and discovery through negotiation, contracting, and closing. Manage opportunities involving multiple stakeholders, departments, and approval levels. Navigate long and complex purchasing cycles while maintaining momentum and stakeholder engagement. Develop and execute account-specific sales strategies based on customer needs, organizational structure, budget, and buying process. Accurately forecast opportunities, close dates, revenue potential, and probability of success. 3. Consultative & Solution Selling Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer business challenges, objectives, and learning requirements. Position IMPROVLearning solutions based on measurable business outcomes and customer priorities. Deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, proposals, and business cases to enterprise prospects. Translate customer challenges into solutions that demonstrate clear value and ROI. Establish IMPROVLearning as a strategic partner rather than simply a product or service provider. 4. Stakeholder & Executive Management Establish trusted relationships with C-level executives and senior decision-makers. Map and manage multiple stakeholders throughout the buying process. Identify champions, economic buyers, influencers, procurement stakeholders, and potential blockers. Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to move opportunities toward successful closure. Effectively communicate with executive-level audiences and lead strategic sales discussions. 5. Channel Partner Management Develop productive relationships with distributors, resellers, strategic partners, consultants, and other channel organizations. Enable channel partners with appropriate product knowledge, sales materials, positioning, and sales strategies. Collaborate with partners to identify target accounts and generate qualified opportunities. Jointly develop account plans, sales campaigns, proposals, and customer engagement strategies. Monitor channel performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement. 6. Negotiation & Closing Lead commercial negotiations and manage objections throughout the sales process. Work collaboratively with Finance, Legal, Operations, Product, and other internal teams to facilitate contract execution. Protect company pricing, margins, and commercial objectives while creating mutually beneficial customer relationships. Close complex enterprise agreements within established sales targets and timelines. 7. CRM, Reporting & Forecasting Maintain accurate and timely records of all opportunities, activities, contacts, and account information in the CRM. Maintain a healthy and predictable sales pipeline. Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reviews, and account updates to management. Track key sales performance indicators, including pipeline generation, conversion, average deal size, sales cycle, and revenue attainment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of B2B sales experience , preferably in enterprise, SaaS, learning solutions, professional services, technology, or a related industry. Proven experience managing large enterprise accounts and complex sales cycles . Demonstrated success selling to organizations with multiple stakeholders and lengthy purchasing processes. Experience working with channel partners, resellers, distributors, strategic alliances, or indirect sales channels . Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and sales targets. Experience engaging with senior-level and executive stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, commercially driven enterprise sales professional who can confidently navigate complex organizations and influence buying decisions across multiple levels. They should be comfortable selling into organizations where decisions may involve HR, Learning & Development, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Legal, IT, executive leadership, and other stakeholders . The candidate must be able to build relationships at both the operational and executive levels, understand complex business requirements, create compelling value propositions, and consistently move opportunities through long sales cycles toward successful closure.   • Channel Sales at IMPROVLearning is expected to be a hunter, relationship builder, strategic account manager, negotiator, and trusted business advisor .
