Account Manager U.S. Lawns of Sacramento - 3.4 Rancho Cordova, CA Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $75,000 a year 3 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Sales proposal development Customer relationship building Managing clients in a customer support role Driver's License Driving CRM system proficiency Managing facilities maintenance budgets Maintenance budget management Full Job Description Position Summary The Account Manager is a fully customer-facing role responsible for managing client relationships, annual budgets, retention, communication, enhancement and irrigation sales, and long-term strategic planning for their portfolio. This role does not oversee field crews. The Account Manager maintains and reinforces U.S. Lawns' 5-Star Service Standards, manages client expectations on sold work, ensures sold work is completed as contracted, meets assigned sales targets, and performs minor irrigation adjustments as needed to support customer satisfaction. Core Responsibilities Client Relationship Management and Annual Budgeting (Primary Function) Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. Maintain consistent communication through onsite visits, calls, emails, and documented CRM communication in Aspire. Enter all client interactions, follow-ups, and opportunities in Aspire. Conduct client meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews. Resolve client issues quickly with a 5-Star Service mindset. Build strong relationships that drive retention and renewal outcomes. Annual Customer Budgets Build complete annual budgets including maintenance, enhancements, irrigation needs, and projected annual spend. Present budgets and track approvals, declines, and deferrals. Update budgets throughout the year as services or approvals change. Use budgets as a strategic planning tool to guide client planning and property improvements. Quality Assurance and Property Oversight Perform monthly QA inspections on each property. Upload QA notes, photos, and ratings into Aspire. Communicate corrective actions to Operations and Production. Verify corrections are completed and notify clients with documented follow-up. Confirm services match contract specifications and company quality standards. Enhancement and Irrigation Sales (Revenue Growth and Targets) Identify enhancement opportunities during property visits. Identify irrigation needs including repairs, upgrades, and water-saving improvements. Document all opportunities in Aspire with notes and photos. Collaborate with estimating teams to build accurate proposals. Present proposals professionally with clear scope, value, and ROI. Follow up consistently until approved or declined. Sales Targets Meet or exceed assigned enhancement and irrigation sales targets based on the Account Manager's book of business. Maintain an active, accurate sales pipeline in Aspire. Managing Client Expectations in Sold Work Clearly communicate scope, timelines, limitations, and what is included versus not included in sold work. Serve as the client's primary contact during execution of sold work. Provide progress updates and answer client questions during the process. Document expectation-setting conversations in Aspire. Responsible That Work Is Completed as Sold Verify all approved work is completed according to the signed scope, pricing, and contract terms. Review completed work for accuracy, quality, and alignment with the proposal. Communicate issues or deviations to the General Manager and Operations immediately. Confirm completion with the client and ensure satisfaction. Light Irrigation Adjustments (Minor Only) Adjusting spray heads and patterns Straightening or resetting heads Minor nozzle changes Turning zones on or off for inspection Light troubleshooting to identify issues All significant repairs or technical irrigation work are handled by the Irrigation Manager or field team. Internal Coordination (Voice of the Client) Communicate client expectations, sold work details, and risks to the General Manager and Operations using Aspire tasks and notes. Ensure Operations and Production fully understands the approved scope before work begins. Participate in internal operations meetings to confirm alignment. Track sold work in Aspire and follow through until completed as contracted. Provide weekly updates on client satisfaction, sold work status, and sales pipeline. Coordinate with the Office Manager on billing, change orders, and contract adjustments. Maintains 5-Star Service Standards Proactive Communication - Always keep clients informed before they ask. Reliable Results - Deliver consistent, high-quality service. Fast Follow-Through - Respond quickly and follow up on every request. Professional Presence - Look sharp, act respectfully, and represent well. Customer-Centered Mindset - Prioritize the client's needs and make it easy. Required Skills and Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficiency in Aspire CRM for communication, tasks, proposals, and documentation. Ability to identify, present, and sell enhancement and irrigation opportunities. Ability to set and manage client expectations and ensure sold work is completed per scope and contract. Ability to create and present annual budgets. Strong organization and time-management skills. Must have a clean and valid driver's license. Professional appearance and demeanor. Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial landscaping or B2B account management. Enhancement or irrigation sales experience. CRM experience (Aspire preferred). Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Work Environment Primarily field and client-facing with some office responsibilities. Regular driving required; clean driving record is mandatory.
