About The Role Summary:

The Teller/New Accounts Representative will greet customers with a smile, assess and fill their needs in a professional manner. Emphasis on customer service is a top priority for this position. Employee will be assigned to work on the teller line and open new accounts. This person must have the ability to communicate effectively while working quickly and accurately. Employee will have extensive contact with customers, vendors, the public, and bank staff and therefore need to be in-person to accomplish the job requirements. They will interact in a professional and courteous manner and conduct themselves in a manner that will enhance the overall efficiency and image of the bank. In order to provide great customer service and collaberate with co-workers, this is an in-person position.

Essential Functions:

Know the features & benefits for all checking, savings, money market accounts, IRA's and CD's. Accurately open all types of accounts for individuals and businesses. Be able to explain and set up products associated with deposit accounts, i.e. online banking, mobile deposit, etc. Offer products to the customers that will best meet their needs. Confidently handle customer questions and problems, including doing necessary research to resolve questions and problems. Participate in branch activities, training meetings, and projects. Work on the teller line as needed. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy. Cross sell other bank products to all customers; is knowledgeable about other bank products Regular, on-site attendance during standard business hours is required to perform the duties of this position. Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in-person contact with customers. Additional duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

Participate in Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of CCB. Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy, and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel). Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date. Represent in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs.

About You Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred previous banking experience High degree of attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills to perform in a fast-paced environment. Must have ability to prioritize and organize heavy workloads and demonstrate effective time management skills. Must have the ability to work in a professional manner and consistently demonstrate courtesy, customer service, and tact in a fast-paced/deadlines-oriented environment. Ability to work quickly and accurately: perform effectively under pressure; meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and make decisions based on regulations, company policies, knowledge, and experience. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Basic computer skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. We offer an extensive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Coverage is available to employees and their eligible dependents in accordance with our written plan documents. We also offer a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) plan and paid holidays. PTO accruals begin at .0745 per hour worked for our part time employees up to a maximum accrual of 240 hours per year for certain Full-Time employees.
