- Outside / field-based Heinz HVAC & Plumbing is hiring an Outside Sales Representative / Account Manager who loves to hunt .
This is not an order-taker desk job. You will build a pipeline through prospecting and follow-up, and help homeowners and local customers get reliable heating, cooling, and plumbing service . If you get energy from knocking, calling, closing, and owning the relationship after the sale — keep reading. What you'll do Hunt new customers every week: cold calls, door-to-door / in-person visits, referrals, networking, and outbound follow-up Sell service relationships : diagnostics, repair, equipment replacement, and maintenance / protection agreements (including Comfort Club-style memberships where appropriate) Run discovery: understand comfort, safety, reliability, and budget — then present clear options Write simple proposals; follow up until you win or learn why you lost Hand sold work cleanly to our service/install team for scheduling and completion Grow accounts you win with seasonal maintenance and membership renewals — without stopping new prospecting Track activity in our CRM / ServiceTitan (calls, visits, proposals, closes) Represent Heinz professionally — you are often the first impression of our company Who thrives in this role Proven hunter — you've built results by going out and getting them, not waiting on inbound leads Comfortable with rejection; persistent without being pushy Strong closer who can also keep customers happy after the first sale Self-starter who plans their week, works a territory, and reports results without hand-holding Willing to learn residential HVAC/plumbing language fast (you do not need to be a technician) Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to be out in the field most days across our service area Nice to have Outside sales experience in home services, memberships, or other field sales Experience selling maintenance agreements or recurring service plans Local market knowledge in Vincennes and surrounding counties What we offer Competitive base + commission (OTE discussed in interview; performance-driven upside) Marketing support, estimating support, and a service team that completes sold work Room to grow as we expand our service customer base Benefits package discussed in interview How to apply Email your resume and a short note on the biggest sale (or book of business) you personally hunted and closed to: dispatch@heinzhvac.
