• In-office

• Full-time About the agency We're a State Farm agency in Harrisburg serving families and professionals across both North and South Carolina. Most insurance offices run on volume: quote, close, move on, hope the customer renews. We build complete household protection — vehicles, home, and the life coverage that holds income together when something goes wrong. Our customers stay with us for years because we know their situation, not just their policy numbers. Account Representatives here don't carry the service load. Billing questions, endorsements, claims support, and file logistics belong to our Operational Specialist. Your time goes to households, not to the queue. The role You'll own the sales cycle from first conversation through issued policy, and grow the book two ways. Depth in households we already serve. This is the larger half of the job and the one most agencies ignore. Our Operational Specialist reviews the existing book for protection gaps and routes those opportunities to you. Many of these families have been with us for years with only one product. You learn what still needs protecting and close the gap. New households through referral partners. We've moved marketing dollars out of low-converting internet leads and into relationships. You'll build a consistent network of mortgage loan officers, CPAs, real estate professionals, and estate attorneys — people who already see a family's whole financial picture. Portfolio design. Both paths lead to the same destination: auto and property coverage that stands on its own, plus life insurance when there's a real income or estate need. We think of life as the bridge — the coverage that protects the income paying for everything else. It is never a condition of binding auto or home.

Day to day you will:

Quote and issue personal lines for assigned, referred, and book-gap households Keep quotes and applications moving; aging files get worked first Track your own quotes, applications, issued business, speed, and conversion on your dashboard Confirm production each pay cycle so your compensation stays accurate How you'll be measured You'll see these before you're hired, not at your first review. Issued business is the scoreboard — activity without issued policies isn't enough. Net household growth — new business minus what we lose. Writing a lot and keeping little doesn't count. Household depth — how many of your customers carry more than one product with us Life production, measured on premium volume — one well-structured case matters more than several thin ones Retention — the accounts that stay with you Conversion and speed — you manage your own pipeline discipline All of it lives on your dashboard. No mystery formulas. Who this is for Apply if you have a real closing record and want your calendar protected for revenue work. You'll fit if you: Would rather lose a price-shop than write a policy that leaves a family exposed Can move a conversation past "can you beat my rate" to what's actually at risk Know when a low-intent shopper shouldn't consume your calendar Take coaching, role-play, and notes without treating them as busywork Are organized enough to run a pipeline, not just a strong first meeting Are comfortable being measured on pace, conversion, household depth, and retention — not quote count alone Insurance experience is preferred. It is not required. A track record of closing is. Qualifications Required Active North Carolina Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses, or the ability to obtain both promptly. A proven track record of closing — insurance, financial services, real estate, B2B, SaaS, or high-ticket retail Comfort in a CRM and working from your own production numbers Comfort asking a family about their home, their income, and what happens if one of them isn't there. This work is a conversation, not a script. Preferred Both NC licenses already active Experience building professional referral relationships State Farm or other captive agency experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) Compensation and benefits We reward issued business and efficient conversion, not activity. Training salary for your first 90 days while you learn our processes and build your pipeline Base salary

+ Commissions

+ Bonuses after training , based on experience and licensing, continuing past the training period. This is not a commission-only seat. Performance incentive tied to household growth, household depth, life premium, and issued results Additional incentive when life production reaches agreed premium benchmarks Quarterly bonus opportunity tied to personal and agency pacing Medical, PTO, paid licensing and continuing education Pay is transparent. You'll see your own premium, pace, and issued results on your dashboard. To apply Email with the subject line Account Representative - [Your Name] and include: Your resume, with current licenses and states Your best production snapshot from the last 12 months — quotes, applications, issued, or the equivalent from your industry A short note on how you handle a file that stalls after you provide a quote A few sentences about a customer relationship you're proud of — not your biggest sale, the one that mattered We are an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
