In 2010, CGT Global was created to change the entire life science and medical industry. We accelerate research and clinical trials through our expansive Collection Centers, state-of-the-art cell manufacturing laboratories, and by actively building the largest global network of hospitals and clinics. In doing this, we change the landscape of research and clinical projects, effectively, efficiently, and at the speed in which patients expect. That means new cures and treatments can reach patient care faster, giving months and years back to the people afflicted with serious medical conditions.
Our Mission:
We accelerate the cure and prevention of significant medical conditions at life changing speed.
What this job is about:
We are seeking a proven, high-performing sales professional to take ownership of our most strategic client accounts. The Senior Scientific Account Manager is a seasoned sales leader with a track record of driving significant revenue growth, managing complex, high-value accounts, and closing large agreements independently. This is a quota-carrying, business-development-first role: scientific fluency is the tool that unlocks trust with sophisticated clients, but the core measure of success is revenue generated, accounts grown, and market share won. The ideal candidate operates with minimal oversight, thinks and negotiates like a business owner, and is energized by aggressive growth targets. This role offers a clear path to sales leadership for a top producer ready to make an outsized impact.
Responsibilities:
Own full accountability for a portfolio of strategic, high-value key accounts, driving aggressive revenue growth and retention. Independently source, negotiate, and close complex, high-value agreements with minimal oversight. Build and execute multi-year account growth strategies aligned with company-wide sales and marketing objectives. Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with senior scientific and business decision-makers at key accounts. Serve as the strategic point of contact for top-tier accounts, ensuring a seamless experience across the full account lifecycle. Identify and convert large-scale upsell, cross-sell, and new-business opportunities within a defined territory or account list. Represent CGT Global at industry conferences, executive briefings, and client events to expand the company's market presence. Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Leadership to shape strategic communications and account plans for top accounts. Provide informal mentorship and guidance to entry-level Scientific Account Managers. Maintain rigorous, accurate Salesforce CRM discipline to forecast pipeline and report on account performance. Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends to proactively defend and grow market share. Represent the company with the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and scientific credibility. Other duties as assigned.
Essential for the role:
Bachelor's degree in Biological, Social, Environmental, or Physical Science; or a bachelor's degree in another field with supplemental coursework in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or cell biology. Minimum four to five years of direct industry sales or key account management experience, with a proven track record of quota attainment and revenue growth. Demonstrated ability to independently manage and close complex, high-value sales cycles. Demonstrated expertise in communicating scientific and technical information persuasively to senior decision-makers and executives. Ability to travel as needed to support key accounts and business development. Ability to work independently with a strong ownership mindset and minimal oversight. Strong strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration skills. Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and executive-level communication skills (written and verbal). Adaptability to fast-evolving conditions and a highly competitive market. Advanced presentation and negotiation skills.
Desirable for the role:
Master's degree in Biotechnology, Master's in Business Administration, or another related field. Five or more years of experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical sales. Established network of relationships within the cell and gene therapy, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry. High proficiency in Salesforce CRM, HubSpot, or related CRMs. R&D and/or Clinical study execution experience. Experience managing accounts with significant annual value.
