Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Account Manager - Industrial Sales with a strategic, customer-focused mindset and a proven track record of growing sales within industrial markets. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding key customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and identifying innovative solutions that address customer needs while driving profitable growth for the division. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional relationship-building skills with strong commercial acumen, technical aptitude, and the ability to understand and navigate complex industrial customer requirements. Success in this role requires a high degree of independence, initiative, accountability, and responsiveness. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-driven industrial environment and collaborating closely with sales, operations, engineering, and other internal teams. Key Responsibilities Account Management & Business Development Develop and manage strategic relationships with assigned accounts to maximize sales growth and long-term account potential. Establish account plans and execute sales strategies aligned with company revenue, growth, and market objectives. Achieve assigned sales, growth, and customer-development objectives through expansion of existing accounts and acquisition of new customers. Conduct regular sales calls, account reviews, and business reviews to understand customer needs, identify opportunities, and strengthen relationships. Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers regarding pricing, terms, product information, delivery expectations, and other sales-related matters. Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and new business opportunities, and communicate relevant insights to management. Participate in trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and other business-development activities as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Research & Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Operations, and other internal teams to address customer requirements and support successful product launches. Provide customer and market feedback to internal teams to support product development, continuous improvement, and business planning. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customer commitments, product launches, and recurring deliverables are executed effectively and on schedule. Provide input on inventory requirements and sales forecasts, including customer-specific forecasts. Help coordinate cross-functional activities to resolve customer issues and support timely execution of business priorities. Customer Service & Sales Execution Respond promptly and professionally to customer questions, requests, and business opportunities. Maintain an organized account-management and follow-up process to ensure consistent customer contact and timely completion of commitments. Monitor account activity, sales performance, opportunities, and follow-up actions to support achievement of business objectives. Maintain accurate and timely customer, opportunity, and sales information in applicable company systems. QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, life sciences, or a related discipline preferred. Additional education or training in sales, marketing, business development, or a related field is a plus. Experience 0-3 years of experience in sales, account management, business development, customer success, or a related field. Experience working with medical, healthcare, technical, scientific, or B2B products is preferred. Experience working with distributors, sales partners, or complex customer accounts is a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong customer relationship-building and account-management skills. Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective business solutions. Strong organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively. Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with customers, distributors, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions. Ability to analyze sales information, market trends, and customer requirements and make sound business recommendations. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) systems preferred.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
