Gunnink's Harley‑Davidson — Ukiah, CA About Us Gunnink's Harley‑Davidson is a family‑focused dealership committed to exceptional customer service, a passionate rider community, and a full lineup of Harley‑Davidson products and experiences. We're expanding our team and looking for a creative, organized Marketing Coordinator to help grow our brand, drive local engagement, and support dealership events and promotions. Position Summary The Marketing Coordinator plans and executes marketing, advertising, and product-promotion activities that support dealership goals. This role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution: creating campaigns, managing day‑to‑day marketing operations, supporting events, and helping deliver outstanding customer experiences. Key Responsibilities Marketing
  • Create and maintain the dealership marketing plan; implement updates and tactical campaigns.
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to refine marketing strategies and improve ROI.
  • Coordinate dealership marketing, advertising, and public‑relations activities.
  • Organize community and dealership events, including rides, open houses, charity events, and H.O.G. chapter activities.
  • Develop and manage annual marketing budgets; track expenditures and prepare summary reports.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements.
  • Attend ongoing training to stay current with marketing best practices. Advertising & Promotion
  • Oversee production of advertising and promotional materials — digital and print.
  • Create and review TV/radio spots, print ads, and direct‑mail campaigns.
  • Write and edit press releases, brochures, advertisements, and other promotional copy.
  • Professionally represent the dealership in media interactions and promotional opportunities.
  • Ensure all promotional materials comply with brand standards and MAP requirements. Customer Service & CRM
  • Build and maintain customer relationships through targeted mailings, follow‑ups, and personalized outreach.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints with empathy and a problem‑solving mindset.
  • Support sales and service teams with customer retention and engagement initiatives. Marketing Operations & Support
  • Manage website content and banners; coordinate social media (Facebook, Instagram) and eBlasts/newsletters.
  • Produce in‑store promotional materials (posters, flyers, POS displays); coordinate music, food, and on‑site promotions.
  • Manage radio/newspaper relationships and local advertising buys.
  • Coordinate the HDMC annual marketing plan and ensure MAP compliance.
  • Support the Smart Program and H.O.G. communications, including newsletters, dealer updates, gifts, and donations. Other Duties
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support dealership operations and marketing objectives. Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills — written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with customers, staff, vendors, and community partners.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience or training in marketing, advertising, event coordination, or promotions preferred.
  • Familiarity with Harley‑Davidson products or motorcycle industry experience is a plus, but not required — willingness and ability to learn quickly is essential.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, website content management, email marketing tools, and basic design/print production processes preferred. Commitments & Expectations
