Proposal & Marketing Coordinator Basin Engineering & Surveying Metairie, LA Job Details Full-time $50,000 - $62,000 a year 16 hours ago Qualifications Research Full Job Description Proposal & Marketing Coordinator Why Basin Engineering You've owned a proposal from kickoff to hand-delivery. You know the difference between formatting an SOQ and actually winning one, and you've felt the frustration of doing that work somewhere it wasn't valued. Basin Engineering & Surveying is offering the opposite: a firm licensed in roughly 26 states where every pursuit you produce lands directly on the desks of the two principals who run the company. No marketing department bureaucracy, no proposal factory. You would be the person who builds how this firm wins work, and you'd have the founders' full attention while you do it. About Basin Engineering & Surveying Basin is an AEC firm headquartered in Metairie, LA, in the New Orleans metro, with a satellite office in Vestavia Hills, AL. Founded and led by Wesley Eustis and Daniel Bobeck, the firm delivers civil site design, structural engineering, land surveying, public works, and drone services for clients who require top-notch engineering work. The firm's professional engineering licensure spans roughly 26 states, an unusually broad footprint for a firm this size, which means the pursuit pipeline is deeper and more varied than you'd expect. Precision, safety, and efficiency aren't taglines here; they're how a small firm competes and wins against much larger ones. The Role You will own Basin's proposal and pursuit lifecycle end-to-end.
That means:
Coordinating and producing SOQs and RFQ responses, from kickoff through final submission Tracking a master pursuit calendar, including deadlines and addenda, so nothing slips Writing and tailoring non-technical proposal content: staff resumes, project descriptions, and win themes that actually persuade Coordinating with subconsultants and teaming partners to collect required forms and licenses Managing submission logistics: formatting, procurement portals, printing, binding, and hand-delivery when it counts Maintaining a reusable library of boilerplate and project highlights so every proposal starts ahead Preparing marketing collateral, including capabilities statements and project highlight sheets Researching upcoming public and private procurement opportunities and improving the proposal process itself, pursuit after pursuit Because this role sits at the center of a lean firm, you'll also provide administrative support to the two principals: scheduling, correspondence, document prep, and calendar and travel coordination. If you see that mix as beneath you, this isn't your role. If you see it as proximity to every decision the firm makes, keep reading. You're a fit if you have 4 or more years developing and coordinating proposals, presentations, or business development materials. You write, edit, and proofread with an eye for sales messaging, not just correctness. You're proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe InDesign, Bluebeam Revu, or a CRM is a plus. Above all, you're organized to a degree other people find slightly alarming, and you work well both independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time, on-site position in Metairie, LA. What's In It for You Ownership, visibility, and range. You won't be one coordinator among twelve; you'll be the one, with direct access to the principals and real authority over how the firm pursues work. The multi-state licensure means genuine variety in the pursuits you run, and the wins you produce will be unambiguously yours. Compensation is market-based at $50,000 to $62,000 per year, with a benefits package, and the role offers a clear path to becoming the marketing backbone of a growing firm. If you've been the person who quietly made every proposal your firm submitted better, we'd like to read yours. Apply today.
