Marketing Coordinator

Job Description

The Research Foundation for The State University of New York State at SUNY Cobleskill Ag & Tech is seeking a Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator will lead the delivery of technical assistance in marketing, advertising, and promotion for participating farm and food producers in the Mohawk Valley region of New York State. This role is ideal for a marketing professional who understands the unique challenges and opportunities for small and beginning businesses within the agricultural and food production sectors. The Coordinator will work directly with producers to assess their current market strengths and weaknesses, improve their market presence, expand customer reach, and implement effective, tailored marketing strategies.
Requirements:
A degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related fields. Minimum of 2 years' experience in marketing. Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing strategies for small business, producers, or similar audiences. Experience conducting market assessments and creating tailored marketing action plans. Ability to provide hands-on implementation support, from planning through execution. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with diverse producers. Ability to work successfully as a member of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite AND Graphic Design Software such as InDesign.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with the agricultural or food production sector, including direct work with farm or food businesses. Experience attending or presenting at producer-focused events, workshops, or conferences. Background in project management, program evaluation, or report co-authorship. Experience in grant administration preferred. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly communications or outreach teams.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
