South Towns Tennis & Pickleball - Orchard Park, NY About the Club South Towns Tennis & Pickleball is a busy racquet club serving Western New York with tennis, pickleball, junior programs, adult clinics, leagues, and community events. We are growing, we are investing in marketing, and we are looking for someone to own how our club shows up to our members and to the wider community. The Role This is the club's storyteller and connector. You own how our programs, events, and community are communicated: online, in email, on our screens, and in the building. You will also help grow the club by building relationships with local partners and by turning our space into a destination for private events and parties. This role is a great fit for someone with real marketing skill who wants meaningful part-time work with flexibility, ownership, and visible impact. You will not be one small piece of a large marketing department. You will own the whole picture. This position starts at 15-20 hours per week, with the opportunity for expanded hours as the role proves itself out. What You'll OwnContent & Design Design flyers, program sheets, event promotions, and in-club signage. Build and maintain the content calendar across social, email, and in-club screens. Keep South Towns TV (in-club screen displays) current with programming, pricing, and event information. Keep information consistent everywhere it appears: flyers, South Towns TV, the website, program listings, the front desk binder, social, and the newsletter. When a clinic changes, every surface gets updated. Website & External Marketing Own day-to-day website updates: programming, pricing, schedules, staff bios, event listings. Own external-facing marketing and local listings, including community publications and event calendars such as Step Out Buffalo. Serve as our point of contact with outside marketing and web partners, routing content and change requests. Partner with our office team so anything customer-facing connects cleanly to our registration system. Social Media & Digital Engagement Manage the club's social presence, including review and approval of agency-produced content plus timely in-house posts. Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and questions on our paid social advertising, same business day. Follow up on inbound inquiries so no interested prospect goes unanswered. Email & Newsletter Write, build, and send the monthly member newsletter. Run promotional email campaigns on a set cadence leading into programs and events (one month out, two weeks, one week, day before). Gather highlights, director notes, event dates, and member specials from program staff and turn them into content members actually read. Partnerships & Private Events Build relationships with local schools, businesses, and community organizations to grow awareness and participation. Source and manage sponsorships for tournaments and club events. Promote, book, and coordinate private events, parties, and corporate outings at the club. Planning & Season Preparation Participate in programming and pricing planning meetings so you know what is coming before it is announced. Work with program staff to lock class details, pricing, and event dates by mid-July, so season materials are built and live before fall programming opens. What You Bring Design ability. You can build a clean, on-brand flyer, social graphic, or screen asset in Canva (or similar) without needing an agency. Strong writing. You can write a newsletter, an email campaign, and a social caption that sound like a real person, not a brochure. Organization. You can run a content calendar and keep multiple programs, events, and deadlines straight without being chased. Social media fluency. Comfortable working in Meta Business Suite and posting across platforms. Email marketing experience. You have built and sent campaigns or newsletters before. Basic web comfort. You can update website content. No coding required, but you are not afraid of a content management system. People skills. This role talks to members, program directors, front desk staff, and local partners. Warmth and follow-through matter as much as talent. Content capture. Willingness to grab photos and short video around the club is a real plus. Racquet sports experience is welcome but not required. We will teach you the game. We cannot teach you taste and follow-through. What Success Looks Like We keep this simple. In your first 90 days: Program and event information is accurate and current everywhere it appears. The newsletter and email campaigns go out on schedule, every time. Inbound questions and comments get a response the same business day. At least one new community partnership or private event booking is in motion. Schedule & Seasonal Rhythm This role runs 15-20 hours per week with a minimum of three days on-site. Most on-site work happens between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Remaining hours can be worked remotely. Our club follows a season. Activity is fullest from September through April. Summer is quieter overall, with a meaningful build in late July and August as fall program materials are produced and promoted. We are looking for someone who wants a steady, year-round role through that rhythm. A Note on Scope We are hiring this position and a Front Desk Manager as two separate roles. For an exceptional candidate interested in a larger, full-time position, there may be an opportunity to combine them. If that describes you, say so when you apply. To Apply Send a resume and, more importantly, a few examples of work you are proud of: a flyer, a newsletter, a social post, a campaign. We care more about what you can make than where you went to school. South Towns Tennis & Pickleball is an equal opportunity employer. The posted hourly range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation for this position at the time of posting.
