Business Broker Appointment Setter & Marketing Coordinator Location:
Port Chester, NY Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week; in office Monday-Thursday with the option to work remotely on
Fridays Compensation:
$20-$24 per hour, based on experience, plus commissions and performance bonuses

No benefits are currently offered A Front-Row Seat to How Businesses Are Bought and Sold If you're fascinated by entrepreneurship, like talking with business owners, and want to see how real companies are valued, marketed, and sold, this is a rare early-career role. You'll work directly with Kat McCoy, a New York business broker at Inbar Group Inc. and former business owner. Your primary job is to turn warm business-owner leads into booked appointments. Your secondary job is to help market listings and keep the pipeline organized. This is not a back-office admin role. It's a hands-on position at the intersection of sales, marketing, and technology. What You'll Do 1. Appointment Setting & Lead Follow-Up (60-70% of your week) Respond quickly to warm seller leads by text and phone Have natural, professional conversations with business owners and book intro calls Follow structured follow-up processes (multiple touches over time) Keep CRM records clean, complete, and up to date (OnePageCRM, HubSpot, in-house tools) Help refine scripts, text templates, and follow-up sequences Maintain consistent outreach even when prospects are slow to respond or say no This is not a hard-closing role. The focus is prompt response, clear communication, and making it easy for serious owners to speak with Kat. 2. Marketing & Business Support (30-40% of your week) Draft marketing materials and teasers for active listings using templates and AI tools Help create and update listings on the Inbar Group site, BizBuySell, and similar platforms Respond to buyer inquiries with clear, professional communication Support simple website and online presence improvements Assist with light calendar and project coordination Bring ideas and help carry them through to completion You'll get direct coaching on listing quality and industry basics. No prior business brokerage experience is required. Who Will Thrive in This Role Persistent, comfortable hearing "no," and willing to try again Organized and dependable; follows through on details Warm, concise communicator on the phone, via text, and in writing Genuinely interested in business, deals, and entrepreneurship Likes being measured by numbers (appointments booked, response times, follow-ups)

sees what needs to be done and moves it forward Open to feedback and eager to improve Qualifications Some experience with B2B outreach, lead follow-up, customer service, or appointment setting Confidence calling and texting business owners Strong written communication and attention to detail Ability to work in the Port Chester office four days per week Comfortable learning and using multiple CRMs and basic marketing tools Experience with HubSpot, OnePageCRM, Canva, or website builders is a plus, not required What Success Looks Like in the First 6 Months Consistently booking 5-8 qualified introductory appointments per week Responding to new warm leads within 15 minutes during working hours Maintaining an organized pipeline with clear next steps on every active lead Producing solid first drafts of listing materials with fewer revisions over time Becoming a trusted, reliable right hand in the day-to-day running of the business Compensation $19-$24 per hour, based on experience Commission opportunities for qualified appointments, signed listings, and closed deals Performance-based bonus opportunities How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your résumé and complete the screening questions. Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week Application Question(s): Rate your comfort calling business owners on a scale of 1-10 and explain in one sentence. Write a 2-3 sentence text you'd send to a warm lead who hasn't replied after two messages.
