We currently serve customers across 28 countries and are building Loud Spectrum into one of the most trusted flavor and terpene authorities in the cannabis industry. We are looking for a hands-on commercial leader to help build the company's next stage of growth alongside the founders. The Role This is not a position for someone who only wants to manage an existing sales department. The Head of Sales & Business Development will initially be both a senior individual contributor and the architect of our commercial organization. You will personally pursue and close high-value accounts, develop long-term relationships with enterprise customers, strengthen our distributor network, and build a repeatable sales system that future representatives can follow. You should be equally comfortable discussing a technical product with a formulator, negotiating with a company owner or executive, opening a new distribution channel, and coaching a sales representative. As the company grows, this role has the opportunity to develop into a broader commercial leadership position. What You Will Own Work closely with the founders to develop and refine the company's sales and business-development strategy Help determine priority markets, customer segments, channel opportunities, and strategic accounts Personally identify, develop, and close high-value B2B and enterprise accounts Partner with the founders on major customer relationships, strategic partnerships, and complex opportunities Build relationships with cannabis manufacturers, brand owners, formulators, distributors, and other industry partners Translate customer needs into commercially viable terpene and flavor solutions Develop customized and exclusive flavor opportunities in partnership with our founders and formulation team Build a disciplined sales process covering prospecting, qualification, sampling, follow-up, technical consultation, closing, onboarding, and account expansion Establish clear pipeline stages, forecasting practices, CRM discipline, and performance metrics Improve conversion from samples and technical discussions into recurring revenue Develop productive distributor relationships and sell-through programs Identify international expansion opportunities and help the founders evaluate and develop them Build account plans for major customers and strengthen long-term relationships Coach and manage existing sales representatives Recruit and develop additional sales talent as the company grows Collaborate closely with marketing, formulation, operations, and leadership Bring customer and market intelligence into company strategy, product development, positioning, and pricing What We Are Looking For The right person combines strong sales instincts with commercial leadership ability. You know how to earn trust, understand what is really driving a customer's decision, navigate multiple stakeholders, and move a complex opportunity toward commitment. You are persistent without being transactional and consultative without losing the ability to ask for the business. You also think beyond your own deals. You can recognize patterns, design processes, prioritize markets, coach others, and turn individual sales wins into a scalable commercial engine. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated success personally closing significant B2B accounts Experience selling technical, formulation-driven, customized, or ingredient-based products Experience developing relationships with enterprise customers and senior decision-makers A record of building or improving a repeatable sales process Experience managing, coaching, or developing sales representatives Experience working with distributors, including activation and sell-through Strong pipeline management, forecasting, negotiation, and CRM discipline Ability to understand technical products and communicate their commercial value clearly Comfort working in an entrepreneurial company where priorities move quickly Strong judgment, accountability, follow-through, and emotional maturity Willingness to remain personally involved in selling while building the team Existing relationships in cannabis, vaping, flavor, ingredients, manufacturing, or adjacent industries are highly valued International business-development experience is a plus The Person Who Will Thrive Here You are: A builder who sees opportunity where structure does not yet exist Credible with technical teams, founders, buyers, and brand executives Curious enough to understand a customer's formulation, product, and business model Strategic, but willing to make calls, visit customers, follow up on samples, and close deals yourself Highly organized and reliable with commitments Competitive without sacrificing trust or long-term relationships Confident enough to challenge assumptions constructively Low-ego and team-oriented Motivated by building something meaningful, not simply inheriting a title What Success Looks Like During your first 6 months, success will include: Developing a clear commercial strategy and target-account plan Building a qualified, visible, and accurately managed sales pipeline Personally winning meaningful new accounts Expanding relationships and revenue within existing accounts Increasing sample-to-order and first-order-to-recurring-order conversion Creating an effective sales operating rhythm and CRM process Developing productive distributor and strategic-partner relationships Improving the capabilities and accountability of the sales team Establishing the foundation for a scalable national and international commercial organization Why Loud Spectrum This is an opportunity to join a profitable, founder-led company with real products, in-house scientific capabilities, international customers, and significant room to grow. You will work directly with the founders and have meaningful influence over the company's revenue strategy, sales organization, partnerships, and market expansion. The person who succeeds in this role will not simply occupy a position—they will help shape the future of Loud Spectrum. Compensation Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission and incentives. Compensation will reflect the candidate's experience, industry relationships, and demonstrated ability to build revenue. To apply, please submit your résumé and a brief introduction addressing: The most significant B2B account you personally developed and closed A sales process or commercial organization you helped build Your experience working with technical products, distributors, or the cannabis industry Why you are interested in building Loud Spectrum with us
