To learn more, visit: www.runninglogisticsllc.com Position Overview Running Logistics is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Vice President of Sales to lead revenue growth across our government, commercial, and strategic-partnership markets. This is a hands-on player-coach position. The successful candidate will develop sales strategy, build industry relationships, attend networking and trade events, support our sales personnel, and personally help close strategic and high-value opportunities. The VP of Sales will work directly with company leadership and alongside our Director of Business Development, contract administration team, and virtual sales representative. Our Director of Business Development supports marketing, lead generation, market development, and strategic business-development initiatives. Our virtual sales representative performs a significant portion of our outbound calls, prospect follow-up, and closing activity using GoHighLevel CRM. The VP of Sales will bring these efforts together by providing leadership, improving pipeline performance, developing strategic relationships, supporting important sales conversations, and personally closing business. Key ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy and Revenue Growth Develop and execute a practical sales strategy aligned with company revenue goals. Identify and pursue new commercial, government, and partnership opportunities. Establish sales priorities, goals, performance metrics, and accountability standards. Evaluate the existing sales pipeline and identify opportunities requiring executive involvement. Personally originate, manage, and close strategic or high-value opportunities. Develop sales forecasts and provide regular pipeline and revenue reporting. Create a disciplined, repeatable sales process that supports sustainable growth. Relationship Development and Market Presence Build relationships with business owners, contractors, skilled trades professionals, government representatives, procurement professionals, and prime contractors. Attend networking events, trade shows, conferences, pre-bid meetings, industry days, vendor outreach sessions, and government matchmaking events. Represent Running Logistics professionally at in-person and virtual meetings. Develop referral, subcontracting, teaming, and strategic-partnership opportunities. Conduct discovery meetings to understand prospective clients' needs, challenges, timelines, and decision-making processes. Deliver capability presentations, sales proposals, and executive-level business discussions. Government and Commercial Business Development Develop relationships with government agencies, public-sector buyers, small-business representatives, prime contractors, and potential teaming partners. Help Running Logistics effectively leverage its small-business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise certifications. Support early capture strategies for targeted government opportunities. Work with the bid and contract administration team to evaluate opportunities for strategic fit and revenue potential. Assist with proposal strategy, presentations, interviews, pricing discussions, and post-submission follow-up when appropriate. Identify commercial opportunities involving staffing, logistics, facilities, maintenance, administrative support, and related services. Sales Team Leadership Work alongside the Director of Business Development to align sales, marketing, lead-generation, and partnership priorities. Coach and support the virtual sales representative responsible for outbound calls, follow-up, CRM activity, and prospect conversion. Establish clear responsibilities and handoff points throughout the sales process. Review outreach results, sales activity, pipeline movement, objections, follow-ups, and conversion rates. Improve sales messaging, presentations, follow-up strategies, and closing methods. Participate directly in important sales conversations when executive-level involvement is needed. Promote collaboration among sales, business development, contract administration, and operations. CRM and Pipeline Management Use GoHighLevel CRM to monitor prospects, opportunities, sales stages, follow-up activity, and performance. Ensure sales records, notes, next steps, and anticipated close dates remain accurate. Improve CRM workflows, reporting, sales-stage definitions, and follow-up practices. Use pipeline and conversion data to improve sales targeting and strategy. Maintain visibility across the complete sales process, from lead sourcing through closing and operational handoff. Required Qualifications Approximately seven or more years of progressive experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or revenue growth Demonstrated ability to develop new business and close meaningful revenue opportunities Experience selling to business owners, executives, or other senior decision-makers Strong relationship-building, professional networking, presentation, and negotiation skills Experience leading, coaching, or supporting sales personnel Ability to develop strategy while remaining actively involved in sales execution Experience using a CRM to manage prospects, pipeline activity, and follow-up Strong judgment regarding opportunity qualification and company resources Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, marketing, operations, and administrative teams Willingness to attend local networking, trade, and government procurement events Ability to travel locally and occasionally outside the area as business needs require Preferred Qualifications Government contracting, public procurement, or public-sector sales experience Relationships with contractors, trades business owners, government agencies, procurement professionals, or prime contractors Experience in construction, skilled trades, facilities, maintenance, logistics, staffing, or professional services Experience developing prime contractor, subcontractor, referral, or strategic-partnership relationships Familiarity with government certifications, supplier-diversity programs, teaming arrangements, or proposal strategy Experience building or improving a sales function within a small or growing company Experience managing remote, hybrid, or outsourced sales personnel Familiarity with GoHighLevel or a comparable CRM platform Direct experience in every area is not required. We value candidates who can learn unfamiliar markets, develop trusted relationships, and translate the company's capabilities into practical solutions for prospective clients. Veteran and Language Experience Running Logistics is a veteran-led company, and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Military experience involving leadership, logistics, procurement, operations, contracting, relationship management, or business development will be considered a significant asset. Spanish-English bilingual ability is a strong plus and may qualify for additional compensation or incentive consideration, depending on demonstrated proficiency and business need. Commission and incentive compensation must be earned through measurable performance. Final commission terms, performance targets, and payment conditions will be provided in writing and discussed with the selected candidate before employment begins. This individual should be equally comfortable meeting with a trades business owner, speaking with a government representative, presenting to a corporate decision-maker, coaching a sales representative, and reviewing pipeline strategy with company leadership. They will actively create opportunities, open doors, build relationships, support the team, and personally move important opportunities through closing.
