The summary above was generated by AI About the Role US West Region - States Bordering and West of the Mississippi River Pyxis Management Consulting Group (Pyxis), a rapidly growing public sector consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Business Development/Sales Executive to drive growth across the US West Region. The ideal candidate will bring an established network within state government agencies and the public sector ecosystem, along with a successful track record selling consulting and technology services. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a regional growth strategy focused on state government agencies and strategic partners. Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline aligned with company growth objectives. Lead capture activities, opportunity qualification, competitive positioning, and account planning. Build trusted advisor relationships with government executives, program leaders, and procurement stakeholders. Collaborate with proposal, solution, and delivery teams to develop winning strategies and value propositions. Represent Pyxis at industry events, conferences, and client meetings. Expand strategic partnerships with system integrators, technology vendors, and small-business partners to create teaming opportunities and drive growth. Qualifications 10+ years of state government business development and sales experience in the last 15 years. Established network of decision-makers across state government, particularly within Health & Human Services, Transportation (DMV) and related programs. Experience with selling consulting services including Advisory, PMO, IV&V, QA, Testing, Organizational Change Management, and Systems Modernization services. Demonstrated success achieving revenue targets and developing long-term client relationships. Deep understanding of state procurement processes, RFP lifecycles, and government contracting. Experience supporting capture management, proposal development, and contract negotiations. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills. Ability to travel throughout the US West Region as needed.
