Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Sales & Business Development Manager focused specifically on developing new Foodservice and Industrial customers. We are looking for someone who enjoys developing new business, identifying prospects, picking up the phone, visiting customers, presenting products, following up, and ultimately turning opportunities into long-term accounts. The right candidate does NOT need to bring an existing portfolio or book of business . However, the candidate should have previous sales experience within the food industry. You may have sold food products, ingredients, beverages, foodservice products, restaurant supplies, bakery products, specialty foods, or similar products. We can teach you the honey business. Responsibilities
Identify and prospect new Foodservice and Industrial honey customers.
Build a pipeline of potential customers throughout Florida and other assigned territories.
Conduct outbound prospecting by phone, email, LinkedIn, trade shows, referrals, and in-person visits.
Research food manufacturers that use honey or natural sweeteners in their products.
Visit prospective and existing customers throughout Florida and surrounding markets.
Drive regularly to customer meetings and sales appointments.
Prepare and present pricing, product samples, specifications, and proposals.
Follow opportunities from initial contact through sample approval, quotation, negotiation, and first purchase order.
Maintain organized follow-up on prospects and sales opportunities.
Work closely with our Plant Director and management team on customer requirements, pricing, production capabilities, samples, and product development.
