Job Summary
Position summary
Our company is building a growth-focused cabin solutions business alongside its established legacy platform. The Sales Director - North America will lead business development and market penetration across the U.S. and Canada, helping airlines, MROs, lessors, and related aviation customers adopt integrated solutions across cabin interiors, seat refurbishment/support, LED lighting, and IFE repair offerings.
This role is designed for a commercially strong, externally facing hunter who can win new business, expand existing customer relationships, and convert early opportunities into long-term retrofit programs and multi-year commercial agreements.
This role includes an excellent base salary, performance-based commission, and a full benefit suite!
Key objectives
Build and grow a North America pipeline across airlines, MROs, leasing companies, and other commercial aviation customers.
Convert early-stage opportunities into recurring business, framework agreements, and fleet-wide programs.
Position IFE Products as a provider of integrated cabin outcomes, not just standalone parts or repair services.
Help shape commercial structure, market feedback loops, and cross-functional execution as the business scales.
Core responsibilities
Develop and execute a North America sales plan focused on airlines, MROs, and related commercial aviation customers.
Prospect, hunt, qualify, and close new business across targeted customer segments.
Expand wallet share within existing customers by introducing new cabin-solution offerings beyond current legacy product relationships.
Drive adoption of bundled retrofit and maintenance solutions, including seat-related offerings, LED lighting, and IFE repair support.
Build account strategies that move customers from one-off transactions to repeatable programs and multi-year commercial frameworks.
Gather and communicate voice-of-customer insights to leadership, engineering, operations, and product teams to improve market fit and execution.
Partner closely with internal engineering and operations teams during customer pursuits, solution design, and technical sales discussions.
Support commercial development around pricing inputs, deal structure feedback, and market benchmarking as the business matures.
Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows across North America.
Maintain pipeline discipline, opportunity tracking, and sales reporting through agreed internal systems and processes.
Requirements
Ideal candidate profile
7+ years of aviation commercial, business development, or strategic sales experience; more may be preferred depending on seniority calibration.
Strong background selling into commercial aviation customers such as airlines, MROs, lessors, OEM-related channels, or cabin/interiors stakeholders.
Experience in cabin interiors, seating, retrofit programs, aftermarket support, aircraft lighting, IFE, or adjacent aviation product/service categories is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to hunt, open doors, build relationships, and close new business in a complex B2B aviation environment.
Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial organization where structure is still being built and cross-functional collaboration is constant.
Able to sell commercially while coordinating with technical stakeholders when customer requirements require engineering or product input.
Strong executive presence, communication skills, and customer credibility.
Willingness to travel regularly across the U.S. and Canada.
Preferred backgrounds
Cabin-focused MRO commercial or program leadership.
Aviation aftermarket sales tied to seats, interiors, PMA, repair, modification, retrofit, or support programs.
OEM or supplier candidates with both product and customer-facing post-sale commercial exposure.
