Job Description

Business Development Manager Minimum 3 years of Business Development Experience Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to fill an opening with a Construction Company located in the Metro Detroit area. Must have experience in bidding, estimating and selling construction projects. Requirements of the Business Development Manager Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relations, preferably within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction markets, industry players, and procurement processes. Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experienced with Design & Build, Public-Private partnership, or government bidding processes Benefits of the Business Development Manager Competitive salary and benefits Full-time, direct-hire position Paid time off Medical / Dental / Vision 401k Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, site-work, and infrastructure construction sectors. Build and maintain relationships with developers, architects, engineers, consultants, and public/private sector stakeholders. Research market trends, competitor activities, and potential client needs to develop tailored proposals and pitches. Prepare and present business proposals, RFPs, and tenders in collaboration with estimating and project management teams. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness. Maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects and clients using CRM tools. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless handover from business development to project execution. Monitor key performance metrics and report on business development activity and outcomes.
