Job Description

A growing, employee-owned mechanical construction organization is seeking an experienced Plumbing Trade Partnership Manager to join its Preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in plumbing contracting, mechanical construction, preconstruction, construction management, or subcontractor/vendor management. This position will focus on identifying, evaluating, and developing relationships with commercial and industrial plumbing trade partners across multiple markets. Responsibilities
  • Identify and recruit qualified plumbing subcontractors and trade partners.
  • Develop and maintain long-term contractor relationships.
  • Evaluate subcontractor capabilities, workforce, geographic coverage, backlog, fabrication resources, and project experience.
  • Maintain accurate trade partner and subcontractor information.
  • Communicate project requirements, scopes, and expectations to prospective partners.
  • Participate in scope reviews, partner selection, and project pursuit strategies.
  • Monitor subcontractor workload and regional labor availability.
  • Evaluate partner performance related to quality, schedule, manpower, and communication.
  • Develop relationships with unions, apprenticeship programs, workforce organizations, and industry associations.
  • Provide market information regarding contractor capabilities, labor availability, and competitive conditions.
  • Conduct site visits and partner meetings as needed.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction and operations teams. Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial plumbing systems and construction.
  • Experience in plumbing/mechanical contracting, preconstruction, construction management, operations, or subcontractor management.
  • Knowledge of construction procurement and subcontractor management.
  • Understanding of workforce requirements, labor availability, and construction execution.
  • Strong industry relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with contractors, engineers, owners, project executives, unions, and operations teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database/reporting tools.
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud, BuildingConnected, or similar experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred. Relevant industry experience will also be considered. Compensation & Benefits
  • $100,000-$150,000 Base Salary
