Sales Manager — Luxury Appliance Retail Designer Appliances | Across Our Three Showrooms Full-time | In person Help a talented sales team reach its full potential. Designer Appliances is looking for a hands-on Sales Manager to coach our consultants, strengthen sales execution, and help our team turn more opportunities into lasting customer relationships. You'll work across our three showrooms, staying close to the people, products, and customer conversations that drive results. You'll bring clear direction, motivation, and accountability to the team while making sure every consultant has the knowledge and support to succeed. About Designer Appliances Designer Appliances is a growing home appliance retailer helping customers create beautiful, functional homes. Our sales consultants guide homeowners through appliance purchases for renovations, new builds, and replacements. With our third showroom now open, we're building the leadership team to support our next stage of growth. Our thoughtfully designed showrooms and live demonstrations with our on-staff chef help clients experience appliances before making a decision. What You'll Do Coach, Motivate, and Develop the Team Work across our showrooms to build strong relationships with sales consultants and understand each person's strengths and development needs. Hold regular one-on-one meetings to review performance, discuss opportunities, and agree on specific next steps. Lead focused team meetings that provide useful coaching, share successes, and keep everyone aligned on priorities. Set clear expectations, recognize progress, and hold team members accountable for consistent execution. Help consultants improve their discovery questions, product recommendations, objection handling, follow-up, and closing skills. Help Move Sales Forward Join customer conversations when invited by a salesperson to help answer questions, address concerns, and close the sale. Support the consultant's relationship with the customer while helping them build confidence and skill. Stay on top of outstanding quotes and make sure consultants have a thoughtful follow-up plan for each active opportunity. Help the team prioritize its pipeline, identify stalled deals, and determine the right next step. Coach consultants on follow-up that gives customers a reason to respond and moves their purchase decision forward. Turn Product and Market Knowledge into Sales Direction Understand our product assortment, including key features, competitive positioning, and which products are selling well or underperforming. Create and maintain a practical sales sheet highlighting products to prioritize, key selling points, current offers, and suitable alternatives. Stay current on manufacturer promotions, rebates, and incentives, and explain them clearly to the team. Make sure consultants understand promotion requirements and deadlines so they can present offers accurately and confidently. Monitor market conditions, competitor offers, and customer buying patterns, and adjust sales tactics accordingly. Share customer and salesperson feedback with leadership to help inform product and promotional decisions. Build Consistent Sales Execution Review sales results, quote activity, follow-up quality, and conversion rates to identify where coaching or a change in approach is needed. Use NetSuite to maintain visibility into the team's pipeline and reinforce accurate records and clear next steps. Share effective approaches across showrooms so the whole team benefits from what's working. Partner with leadership and other teams to address issues that affect the customer experience or prevent sales from moving forward. What You Bring Experience managing and coaching a customer-facing sales team, with examples of how you helped people improve their results. A strong background in consultative selling, including complex purchases and longer sales cycles. The ability to motivate different personalities while setting clear expectations and following through. Confidence joining a customer conversation and helping close a sale while supporting the salesperson leading the relationship.
Strong commercial judgment:
you understand how products, promotions, market conditions, and customer needs influence sales. An organized, proactive approach to pipeline management and follow-up. Comfort using CRM systems and sales data to guide coaching and priorities. The ability to learn technical products and turn detailed information into practical guidance. Willingness to travel regularly between our showrooms and maintain a visible, hands-on presence. Experience in appliances, luxury retail, home design, remodeling, or a related field is preferred. What Success Looks Like Consultants become more confident, capable, and consistent. One-on-one and team meetings lead to clear actions and measurable progress. Outstanding quotes receive timely, thoughtful follow-up. The team knows which products to recommend and how to explain current promotions. $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
