This is a leadership role for someone who knows how to build a high-performing sales culture, hold team members accountable, develop strong customer relationships, and consistently drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate is hands-on, competitive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where results matter. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales performance, coaching representatives, developing sales strategies, improving processes, expanding market opportunities, and helping the company achieve its growth objectives. We are looking for someone who can lead from the front — not simply manage reports. You should be comfortable working directly with the sales team, identifying opportunities, helping close business, solving problems, and creating the structure necessary for long-term success. Responsibilities Lead, manage, motivate, and develop a team of sales representatives. Establish clear sales goals, performance expectations, and accountability standards. Develop and execute sales strategies designed to increase revenue, market penetration, and customer acquisition. Monitor individual and team performance through sales activity, pipeline development, closing ratios, revenue, and other key performance indicators. Conduct regular sales meetings, coaching sessions, training, and performance reviews. Recruit, onboard, train, and develop new sales representatives as the organization grows. Work directly with sales representatives to improve prospecting, presentations, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills. Assist with larger or more complex sales opportunities when management involvement can help move the opportunity forward. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, strategic partners, and key accounts. Identify new territories, customer segments, referral opportunities, and business development channels. Maintain an organized and accurate sales pipeline and ensure sales activity is properly documented within the company CRM. Review leads, opportunities, follow-up activity, proposals, and outstanding sales opportunities to ensure consistent execution. Develop processes that improve lead response time, customer communication, follow-up, and overall conversion rates. Collaborate with operations, production, marketing, and company leadership to ensure a smooth transition from sale to project completion. Help resolve customer concerns professionally while protecting long-term customer relationships and company standards. Analyze sales performance and provide leadership with regular reporting, forecasting, and recommendations. Maintain knowledge of company products, services, pricing, competitors, and market conditions. Create a culture built around professionalism, accountability, communication, customer service, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Previous experience in sales management, territory management, business development, or a similar sales leadership role. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop sales professionals. Strong understanding of prospecting, pipeline management, relationship selling, negotiation, and closing. Proven ability to establish sales goals and hold a team accountable to measurable performance expectations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Confident presenting to customers, team members, partners, and company leadership. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and sales opportunities simultaneously. Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales activity and pipeline information. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand sales reports, forecasts, pricing, margins, and performance metrics. Ability to coach team members constructively while maintaining high performance standards. Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable operating in a results-driven environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Roofing Solar Construction Home improvement Restoration Insurance-related property services Outside sales Business-to-business sales Territory development Commission-based sales organizations Industry experience is valuable, but strong sales leadership experience, accountability, and the ability to develop people are equally important. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a leader who understands that successful sales management is more than tracking numbers. The right person knows how to build relationships, create structure, identify weaknesses, develop talent, recognize opportunities, and create an environment where strong salespeople can succeed. You should be comfortable setting high expectations while also giving your team the training, tools, support, and leadership necessary to achieve them. If you are competitive, organized, growth-oriented, and motivated by building a successful sales organization, we would like to hear from you.
