General Sales Manager An established franchised automotive dealership is seeking an experienced General Sales Manager to lead its new and pre-owned sales operations.

We are looking for a hands-on, results-driven leader who can develop people, create accountability, manage inventory and drive both sales volume and profitability. The right candidate will be actively involved in the day-to-day operation and understand how to turn performance data into clear actions for the sales team. Responsibilities Lead, coach and hold sales managers and sales staff accountable for daily activity, customer follow-up, appointments, sales and gross profit. Manage the sales process from lead response through vehicle delivery. Recruit, train and develop sales professionals. Manage new and pre-owned inventory, including pricing, aging, acquisition and turn. Monitor CRM activity, internet leads, appointment performance and closing rates. Desk deals and maintain strong front-end profitability while balancing inventory objectives. Build monthly forecasts and manage performance against volume, gross profit and expense goals. Work closely with F&I to improve deal quality, product presentation and the overall customer experience. Execute manufacturer programs and monitor performance requirements. Coordinate with Service, Parts and the Office to support deliveries, trade handling and timely deal processing. Resolve customer concerns promptly and reinforce a professional and transparent sales process. Use dealership technology, reporting and performance data to continuously improve results. Qualifications Proven automotive retail sales management experience with a franchised dealership. General Sales Manager experience preferred, although successful senior Sales Managers ready for the next step will be considered. Demonstrated ability to improve sales volume and sustainable gross profit. Strong knowledge of desking, CRM management, inventory pricing, aging and used-vehicle acquisition. Proven ability to recruit, coach and develop a sales team. Strong understanding of internet lead management and modern automotive retailing. Clear communication skills, sound financial judgment and a consistent approach to accountability. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and compliant dealership practices. Pay:

$150,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year
