Social Events Catering Sales Manager Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Social Events Catering Sales Manager . In this role, you will be responsible for selling, coordinating, and servicing social events throughout the resort, including weddings, proms, anniversary celebrations, baby showers, birthday parties, quinceañ;eras, mitzvahs, rehearsal dinners, and other special occasions. You will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and contracting through event detailing, onsite support, and post-event follow-up while serving as the primary liaison between clients and resort departments. As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love by building meaningful relationships with guests, supporting associates, and creating memorable event experiences. You'll help drive revenue growth while ensuring every event is planned and executed with exceptional attention to detail and outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing clients through phone calls, email outreach, referrals, networking, and in-person Sell and service social events, including weddings, proms, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, baby showers, mitzvahs, quinceañ;eras, and other social Manage the full sales cycle, including lead qualification, proposals, contracts, event detailing, onsite support, and billing Coordinate private dining reservations and special celebrations within resort Conduct site visits and property tours while identifying opportunities to maximize event revenue through food, beverage, room rental, and related Collaborate with banquet, restaurant, culinary, conference services, and other resort teams to ensure seamless event Prepare and communicate banquet event orders, event details, group information, and updates to operational teams in a timely Participate in sales meetings, maintain activity and booking goals, and promote repeat business through strong client What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent is Two years of catering or event sales experience is preferred, ideally in a large resort, hotel, or convention Proven success in developing, soliciting, and closing group or event business is Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport, identify client needs, overcome objections, and close sales Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and sales or booking systems is A broad understanding of the events industry and hospitality operations, including hotels, resorts, restaurants, and catering services, is Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require A Sampling of Our Benefits Our team enjoys a comprehensive benefits package, including: Career growth opportunities with promotion from within 401(k) matching, paid time off, and holiday compensation Health, dental, and vision coverage for full-time associates Employee appreciation events, discounts, and perks at all resorts Education assistance programs to help advance your career Be Part of Something Extraordinary At Kalahari, we believe the best leaders Lead with Love —because love builds trust, inspires growth, and creates experiences that last a lifetime.
