Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process customer transactions swiftly and efficiently Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Upsell and promote featured products or special offers to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales Conduct product demos when appropriate, highlighting features and benefits to customers Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure products are well-presented for maximum appeal Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with accuracy while adhering to cash handling procedures Support inventory management through stocking, replenishing shelves, and assisting with inventory counts Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering customer inquiries remotely Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Prior supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is a plus Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats; bilingual abilities are highly valued Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling, and retail sales techniques Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with grocery retail is advantageous Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and patience in busy settings Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail during high-volume periods Join us as a Cashier and become an essential part of creating memorable shopping experiences!
